Application Process
Trade Orientation


Applicants for the apprenticeship program
must attend a trade orientation held at
one of our two training centers in
Milwaukee or Madison.
What to bring?
- High School Transcripts or GED/HSED
General Knowledge Testing



Upon completing an application, each
applicant is given an “Authorization to
Test” letter.
Applicants are required to take general
knowledge/aptitude, mechanical and
spatial tests
The Technical College will forward the
test results to us.
Apprenticeship Interview
Minimum Qualifications

18 Years of Age

Valid Driver’s License

High School or GED/HSED Transcript
(accredited institution)

Applicants that meet the apprenticeship
testing requirements will be notified by
mail and scheduled for an interview,
before the Joint Apprenticeship
Committee.
Candidate Letter Of Introduction


Candidates are given a “Letter of
Introduction” and a list of union
contractors in the jurisdiction to contact
for employment and sponsorship in the
apprentice program.
Letters of Introduction are valid for one
year.
