The Altamount Suite
The Altamount Suite is an impressive, intimate function room with the capacity to host up to
300 guests. You & your guests are welcomed to the Altamount Suite via our reception room the
Dornish Suite which has an adjoining outdoor Courtyard. Both the Altamount and the Dornish
Suite have private bars for your guests to avail of drinks before and after your Bridal Banquet..
Seating plans are tailor made to suit your needs with round tables seating 8-10 guests
comfortably per table. Each table is decorated with floral arrangements, candles & place
settings.
The Wyatt Restaurant
Smaller Weddings are catered for in the landscape Wyatt Restaurant which is located in the
heart of the hotel. The Wyatt Restaurant overlooks the hotel Courtyard and the town Green.
The Wyatt Restaurant can host up to 70 guests with tailor made table settings using an
assortment of round and straight tables.
Civil Ceremony
The Wyatt Hotel are proud licensees to host Civil Ceremonies in the The Octagon Lounge which
is located on the first floor and overlooks the scenic Westport Octagon. Further information on
Civil Ceremonies is available on request.
The Next Day – Cobbler’s Bar
Continue the celebrations the following day with complimentary use of the traditional Cobbler’s
Bar. Free Basket Food available on request (subject to numbers) as well as Live Music.

On September 1st, 20012, our daughter's wedding reception was held at the Wyatt
Hotel. Words cannot describe how well pleased we were by the wonderful care and
attentiveness we received from Barney Clarke, hotel manager, and his entire staff. It
was absolutely lovely, and beyond our greatest expectations!
This was a destination wedding. Our daughter and her fiancé wanted to marry at her
grandfather's church in Newport, Mayo. We, and several family members traveled
from the USA for this special event. There our Irish relatives joined us in the festivities,
making it a marvelous family reunion as well!
Barney Clarke served as our personal wedding planner, and I dare say, we could not
have planned it so wonderfully well without him. He guided us through every aspect
of the reception, creating for us a most memorable day. The food (lamb and salmon)
was outstanding and plentiful, and the presentation was lovely. The banquet facility
decor was truly beautiful. Barney and Mayo Florists did a remarkable job. The flowers
were exquisite, and they transformed the function room into a glorious reception hall
in keeping with every brides dream!
There were so many details Barney and the staff of the Wyatt attended to. We are
deeply grateful to the reception desk staff, food servers, bar staff and cleaning staff all
who truly seemed to personally care for and about us, and seemed to take joy in
watching our long planned wedding unfold. Everyone was so kind and friendly. As well,
we and many of our USA family stayed at the Wyatt for several days before and after
the wedding.
The rooms were very clean and most comfortable, and a pleasure to go to after a long
day of visiting and sight seeing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning breakfasts.
We loved being welcomed daily by the friendly wait-staff. One of our favorite things to
do was to sit outside at the tables on the patio area at the front of the hotel. There we
would meet up with family and have our morning coffee or afternoon tea, and
appreciate the beauty of Westport town.
The location of this hotel is outstanding. It is right where all of the action is. This was
initially why we considered the Wyatt for the wedding - that and the picturesque
appearance of the hotel itself. It looks absolutely charming on the outside, and it
doesn't stop there. Inside the hotel and staff are equally warm and engaging.
We wanted our daughter to have a truly traditional Irish wedding, and indeed, she and
her new husband received it. They were absolutely thrilled with the Wyatt. We hope
to come back to the Wyatt when we visit Ireland again. The newlyweds are already
talking about coming there for their first wedding anniversary. Visit the Wyatt for an
excellent boutique hotel with an attentive staff and for an outstanding wedding
venue!
