ADVENTURE
EING OUT ON THE EDGE of the cliff with God can have the effect of weakening your
knees. But once you have experienced it, like any good “adrenalin junky” it is hard to
live any other way.
To those of you who have experienced this sensation, I know I am “preaching to the choir” (and
you are at this moment re-experiencing that feeling). To those who have yet to have their knees
weakened, my words will do little to help you truly understand being both completely vulnerable and safe in the same instant. I cannot recommend strongly enough doing whatever it takes
to get to this position. It will become a lifelong obsession to maintain the thrill of abandonment.
Often what we see as unwanted change is God simply repositioning His resources (us). If His
efforts place us near the cliff, we look over and are immediately overwhelmed by the view. If
this is happening to you now, please don’t recoil. Take just one moment to “see” and you will be
startled to find Jesus there ready to catch you. Don’t rob yourself of this opportunity to experience what can’t be communicated.
As we see each month, the world is being “repositioned” nearer and nearer to the cliff. To those
of us who have chosen to abandon ourselves to our Lord, there is the thrill of the adventure. To
those who have not there is disappointment and discomfort ahead.
These events are not to frighten us, as though we have no hope. They are to teach us we do have
the Hope. No matter what your eyes tell you, there is an exciting, thrilling and “Grand” Adventure in our immediate future.

e know from the sacred Scriptures that the plot against Jesus was expressly designed to
avoid the feast days (in order to minimize involvement of the Roman soldiers and
their irresolute commitment to keeping order).

palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, And consulted that
they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. But they said, Not on the

as had been specified many centuries before,
despite the fact that the Jewish official form of
execution was by stoning.8
The Ultimate Miracle
But the most conspicuously supernatural
milestone to be met was the subsequent resurrection from the dead, which occurred on the “third
day.”
In Paul’s succinct definition of the “Gospel,” he is very specific:
Now I’m making known to you, brothers, the Gospel that I proclaimed to
you, which you accepted, on which you have taken your stand, and by which
you are also being saved if you hold firmly to the message I proclaimed to
you—unless, of course, your faith was worthless. For I passed on to you the
most important points of what I received: Christ died for our sins in keeping with the Scriptures, He was buried, He was raised on the third day in
keeping with the Scriptures—and is still alive!

He died in the most documented execution in all history, fulfilling
dozens of very precise specifications recorded centuries in advance.9 He
was buried, again fulfilling precise requirements.10 And He then rose
from the dead, again fulfilling numerous specifications that embroider
the entire Old Testament. This third element is the very capstone of
Paul’s definition.
(Yet, just where do the Scriptures specifically predict the third day?
There are ostensibly seven; six more supplementing the obvious allusion
to Jonah’s “whale of a tale.”11 Jesus Himself also made repeated predictions in the New Testament.12)

What is also distinctive is what Paul does not include in “the Gospel.”13 He makes no mention of the Lord’s teachings, or His miracles,
or His example, etc. Our basic calling is to declare the Gospel, and
this differentiates us from the pending social issues of the day. This
will not be a popular stance. But it is His primary calling for us.
The Mistaken Identity
A mistaken identity haunts our humanist culture: an insufficient
identity which misses the critical issue. Jesus is not simply a concept,
nor principally a great teacher, a useful example, or a contrived (although constructive) tradition.
Jesus is a living person who is yearning to take His Throne14 and
has scheduled an audit of our accounting of His calling for each of
us.15 (Oops!) Aye, there’s the rub. Are you ready for 2 Corinthians
5:10?16 Does your church even teach (and prepare you for) this bema
seat event? Do they even teach the imminence and realities of the
coming Kingdom?17 (I suspect that most Christians, who pray “Thy
Kingdom come,” have no idea what they are actually praying for!)
The Personal Challenge
Are these things relevant to, and prioritizing, your life? Shouldn’t
they be the primary focus of our every hour?
Make Him known. Have you?

HAT IS THIS BURGEONING CRAZE ABOUT THE COMING FOUR “BLOOD MOONS,”
AND DO THEY CONVEY A PROPHETIC MESSAGE FOR MANKIND?
Roll… Camera… Action! It was Friday night, November 1, 2013 when I found myself
sitting on the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) TV set beside Pastor John Hagee.
It was just minutes before we were going live in front of an international audience of millions on a “Praise the Lord” (PTL) TV show when I privately asked Pastor Hagee, “Have you
considered the possible connection between the coming blood-red moons and the Psalm 83
Arab-Israeli war prophecy?”
The program that night was featuring Pastor Hagee’s bestselling book, Four Blood
Moons: Something is About to Change, and Psalm 83: The Missing Prophecy Revealed
authored by yours truly. Pastor Hagee responded by saying that he was taking a closer look at
the psalm to see if any possible connections existed.
Before any further words could be exchanged between us the producer started the fivefinger countdown, 5...4...3...2...1 and it was show time.1

So what is this burgeoning craze about the coming four “blood
moons,” and do they convey a prophetic message for mankind? Although there is no specific reference to four blood moons anywhere in
the Bible, Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12 refer to the moon
having the appearance of turning to blood.
On the TBN TV program Pastor Hagee stated, “The Biblical substance of the foundation (of the blood moons) begins in Genesis 1:14.”
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to
divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and
for days and years;

The basis for his thesis can partially be summed up within the
words signs and seasons, which in the Hebrew can generally be translated as “heavenly banners displayed at divinely appointed times.” Blood
moon advocate Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries believes that
the seasons allude to the appointed feast days of the Lord.
These interpretations imply that the heavens become a visible
means through which the Lord can communicate important messages to mankind. The Bible conveys God’s Word directly to man, but
perhaps the
heavens serve
as His “Amber
Alert” system.

Good Bible Scholars Disagree
For the sake of this article, what the “blood moons”
are becomes less important than what they may mean. If
you want to learn more about this phenomenon, there
is a plethora of public information available. A simple
Google search with the words “the coming blood
moons” recently netted 4,930,000 results. In addition, Mark Biltz and Dr. Mark Hitchcock have also authored timely books about this subject.2
Dr. Hitchcock stated to me personally, “I reject the blood moons as valid signs of the
time. In my book I deal with Hagee’s arguments and show how and why I disagree.”3
Conversely, Mark Biltz’s new book devotes an entire chapter to the blood moon naysayers. Biltz also points out that the fourth blood moon will be a “Super Blood Moon” that will
be visible in Israel. This blood moon will be at perigee with the earth, making it enlarged to
the spectator.
In the inquiry process the reader will find no shortage of blood moon skeptics. Here is a
quote from one of them:
While the color of some total lunar eclipses could be compared to blood, others are more orange, similar to a pumpkin. Still other eclipses look yellow, and some are very dark—virtually

black…. In short, most lunar eclipses don’t appear blood-like, so it is a bit presumptuous to
assume that any particular future eclipse—or, in this case, four eclipses—must of necessity be
“blood moons.” 4
Presuming that these four “blood moons” are prophetically relevant, then the remainder
of the article will be devoted to what they might mean. As you read further, keep in mind
that there will be no more “blood moons” occurring in a back-to-back sequence on Passover
and Tabernacles for the remainder of this century.5
The Historical Precedent of the “Blood Moons”
Over the past 2,000 years there have supposedly been eight tetrads falling on Jewish feast
days (see chart on page 12), but only five of them occurred on Passover and Tabernacles.6
Among these five, the last three seem to have happened at a time when the Jewish people
were unjustifiably persecuted by Gentile populations. In

The Lesson of 1493-1494 “Blood Moons”
find no shortage of
blood moon skeptics.
In 1492 Christopher Columbus navigated three
ships—the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria—that were probably filled with affluent Sephardic Jews to safety.7 Some believe that Columbus was also a Jew.8 They fled Spain to escape the merciless “Edict of Expulsion” campaign of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella.
While heading for the West Indies, the Lord redirected these holocaust survivors to America. As a result of their discovery of this new-found land, they paved the way for a future safe
haven for the Jewish people.
One of the God-given purposes for the existence of America was to become a safe haven for the Jewish people. Additionally, the U.S. was to be a beacon of Christianity to the
nations of the world and to become instrumental in the rebirth of the Jewish state of Israel.
These purposes are expounded upon in my DVD offered by Koinonia House, called America and the Coming Mideast Wars (see the order form, page 45).
Pastor Hagee asks repeatedly in his blood moons book, “What was happening to the
Jewish people at this time?”9
At this “blood moon” interval they were thanking their Lord for the following reasons:

• They survived unjustified Gentile persecution,
• They were divinely preserved through that perse-
cution,
• They found a safe-haven (America) as a result of the Lord’s protection,
• They could freely worship their God and cel-
ebrate His prescribed feasts.
The Lesson of the 1949-1950 “Blood Moons”
The “blood moon” saga continues 454 years later in
1948, when the Jewish people found themselves again
facing unjustified Gentile persecution, but this time it
was from the Arab states listed in Psalm 83:6-8. It was
the Arab-Israeli “War of Independence” and the Jews
won, earning them the undeniable right as the victors to

call Israel their homeland. So what was happening to the
Jewish people when the “blood moons” of 1949-1950 occurred? Deja vu, the answer is that they were thanking the Lord for the following reasons:
• They were divinely preserved through that persecution,
• They found a safe-haven (Israel) as a result of the Lord’s protection,
• They could freely worship their God and celebrate His prescribed feasts.
Only 17 years later, in the summer of 1967, the Psalm 83 countries of Egypt, Syria, and
Jordan unjustifiably persecuted the Jews again. Along with the overwhelming endorsement
of the other Psalm 83 cohorts they attempted to eradicate the Jewish state of Israel. In this
repeat performance the destruction of Israel was the identical goal from 1948. Israel won that
war and nearly tripled its size at the time by capturing the Golan Heights, West Bank, Gaza
Strip, East Jerusalem and the Sinai Peninsula. So again the pertinent question is, what was
happening to the Jewish people when the “blood moons” of 1967-1968 occurred? At the risk
of sounding redundant, they were thanking the Lord for the following reasons:
• They were divinely preserved through that persecution,

• They found a safe-haven (a Greater Israel) as a result of the Lord’s protection,
• They could freely worship their God and celebrate His pre-
scribed feasts.
If this pattern of Jewish persecution, preservation and protection
continues into the upcoming “blood moon” tetrads scheduled for April
15, 2014 (Passover), October 8, 2014 (Tabernacles), April 4, 2015
(Passover) and September 28, 2015 (Tabernacles), then what might occur?
There could be more unjustified Gentile persecution perpetrated by
the Arab populations of Psalm 83:6-8. This oppression could manifest
into another war intended to destroy Israel, but result in the decisive
defeat of the Arab enemies by the Israeli Defense Forces, as clearly outlined in Psalm 83. As the ultimate victor, the Jewish state could capture

Psalm 83 in a Nutshell
For the unfamiliar, Psalm 83 is an ancient prophecy issued by
the psalmist Asaph, who we are informed in 2 Chronicles 29:30

In an upcoming Hollywood thriller titled Transcendence, featuring Johnny Depp, the
film delves into an ideology coined by Ray Kurzweil as “The Singularity.” This is based on

“As in the days of Noah,”1 so it shall it be when the Messiah returns to earth. This is a
surprising reference that has been generally understood to mean that everyone on earth will
be going about their regular day-to-day lives, “marrying and giving in marriage.” It has led to
the assumption that the time immediately preceding the Triumphant Return will be “ordinary” and like any other day. However, a studious Christian will note that this conclusion is
actually opposite to the intended meaning. To come to this conclusion, one must recognize that the Tower of Babel was constructed during the days of Noah, albeit after the Flood. Here, God makes a remarkable statement about humanity that appears to go against even His own omnipotence! God imposes
a stopgap on humanity to discourage the apparently attainable goal of achieving anything
man could imagine. This was the second time in Scripture that God mandated an order that
restricted Man’s ability to become immortal—the first barrier set by God to dissuade Man
from achieving godhood was a fiery ever-turning sword and cherubim placed at the entrance
to the Garden of Eden. This was installed to barricade Adam from eating of the Tree of
Life, which would result in immortality, and man would become like God.2 The second stopgap God created was the confusion of languages at Babel. God expressly states in His Word that “nothing they set out to accomplish will be impossible for

them!”3 And if we take God’s statement literally, then we understand that we are entering
again into an era where man will be able to accomplish anything he sets out to do through
the unity of a global language. We have become united
once again, like in the
days of Noah and Babel,

use of technology.
The New Common Language

through the use of technology. Through computers we all speak binary, a language consisting of only two characters: 0 and 1. God created
multiple languages for the express purpose of
dissuading mankind’s unity, so that we would not rebel in any unified effort against Him.
Today we have given this unified rebellion a name: Humanism. Consider the example of Pentecost. As the Apostles were preaching, God removed the
language barriers because of the unity of the Body of Christ. Confusion is intended for the
adversaries of Truth, not for those who are filled with, and acting in, the authority of the
Holy Spirit.
The Hybrid Age
Understand that the era we currently live in is one that the Bible tells more about than
even the time when Messiah walked the earth: the time just preceding His triumphant
return. Missler notes that there are still some events that must take place before that day arrives, but consider this an early harbinger. We are entering into what Tom Horn considers
the Hybrid Age.
For Biblical Christians, this is not an unfamiliar theme. In Genesis we read about a time
when fallen angels reproduced with humans and created a sort of super-race. God found
these creatures to be an abomination because they threatened the very existence of His special
creation, who were made in His image and into whom He breathed Life.
Horn mentions in the conclusion of the film that these events should spark thoughtful
debates about the exceptionalism of what it means to be human, as was mentioned in the
writings of C.S. Lewis and other revered theologians. The Flood was the first purge of humanity, essentially the “unmixing” of contaminated

metaphor seemed more realistic. Now, however, we realize that the knowledge of widespread
genetic modification threatens us once again.
The scientific community is gaining momentum and is creeping toward the day when
we can create a hybrid species that is no longer human, but rather post-human. Something
that many in the Transhumanist movement would consider a more highly evolved species, a
Human 2.0.

Even after the failure in the early ’70s of the post-WWII
Bretton Woods agreement, the U.S. dollar has remained the de facto currency of the world.
Under Bretton Woods, foreign currencies were fixed in relation to the dollar, and the dollar was fixed to gold at $35 per ounce. The monetary system had a few disciplines that were
holdovers from the pre-WWI gold standard. The disciplines were critical for global acceptance and the shoring up of confidence.
Disconnecting the Dollar
President Nixon removed the primary pillar of stability (gold) from the Bretton Woods
monetary system less than 30 years after that system began. By March of 1973, European
countries started striking out on their own, with six of them tying their currencies together

control relationship with other currencies that were no
longer pegged to it.
This was the birthing process for our current floating monetary (non) system. Today there are no absolute
measures of value in this floating system—only relative
relationships. In spite of these changes, world trade
centers now, as then, insist on the settling of invoices
in U.S. dollars. This forces financial institutions all over
the world to hold dollars on account to facilitate business. But even this practice is changing, creating considerable downside risk for the dollar—the foundation
of nearly every American’s assets.
A Post-Dollar World?
With no substitute to take its place, dollar dominance has been presumed by financial
experts and money managers. How much longer can we assume that the dollar will keep its
monopoly status? The rest of the world has grown agitated and begun to reengineer its financial markets for a post-dollar world. Trade agreements that eliminate the dollar as the intermediary currency have proliferated in recent years. The factors involved in this monetary sea
change are: 1) the rise of the euro, 2) the growth of emerging market players, and 3) the shift
in behavior among some of our primary creditors. In concert, these factors portend a new
global monetary system.

The European Union as a quasi-political
and economic project was envisioned in the
1950s and ’60s, and finally emerged in the ’80s
under the influence of Jacques Delors and a
number of other European socialists. The monetary unit we call the euro was launched in 1999.
After an initial bout of weakness, it climbed 30-40% as it gained in global acceptance (I well
remember the appreciation in personally held euro-denominated German bonds).
Since its launch, the currency has been bought as a reserve asset by central banks all over

the world. It now comprises 24% of all central bank holdings.
This development has progressed at the expense of the dollar, and has coincided with a
30% decline in the U.S. dollar’s purchasing power. In spite of the obstacles to, if not impossibility of, political and fiscal union, the European monetary unit has marched ahead with
considerable stability and global support.
The world is in search of dollar alternatives and is not being easily dissuaded from its
choice of the euro as a viable alternative—the first in decades. Thus, we have a pivotal shift
away from U.S. dollars by the central banks of the

Pressure from Emerging Markets
Emerging markets have enjoyed considerable
economic progress over the past 30 years. As the West
has over-consumed, the rest of the world has overproduced, providing the goods we desire at cheaper
and cheaper cost. Over several decades, this abundance of consumer goods has grown the bank accounts of emerging market entrepreneurs
and governments via an increase in trade. The IMF now estimates that emerging markets will
overtake advanced economies as a percentage of global GDP this year!
Why is this critical? The rest of the world has a more forceful presence than ever before.
On a collective basis, the emerging markets are independently creating more efficient ways of
trading with each other, including the direct settlement of transactions and invoices without
U.S. dollars. The modern world is gaining autonomy from the U.S. that it hasn’t known in
the post-WWII era.
This marginalizes the U.S. dollar,
both as a reserve asset for central bankers and as a currency used for free trade
settlement. In short, we have the makings of a currency coup d’état.
The East’s Influence
China figures into the equation
on several counts. Not only have we

witnessed the meteoric rise of the Chinese economy since Deng Xiaoping’s
reforms in the late 1970s, we’ve also
seen China become our number one
creditor. China has our paper (U.S.
Treasuries that it has purchased), Japan holds our paper, and the Middle
East holds our paper—(strangely, the
Federal Reserve is now an enormous

Our dependency on these creditors is
critical. Not only must they remain content with current holdings of Treasuries, but we need
them to continue purchasing to fund our budget deficit. Note that January Treasury data
(TIC report) shows China liquidating close to $50 billion in Treasuries. That is a problem
that will push the dollar lower and raise interest rates. The Japanese are now running trade
deficits and lack the surplus dollars to purchase Treasuries.
And lastly, we have a decline in U.S. demand for Middle East oil as new fields have been
exploited in North America. Our Middle East Treasury buyers are consequently receiving
fewer petro dollars that can be fed back into the dollar recycling-Treasury purchasing pipeline.
The Dollar’s Decline
From this evidence, we conclude that the monetary system we’ve lived with since the
’70s is rapidly falling apart. The dollar is vulnerable to rapid devaluation, and the Treasury
market may be subject to a rapid rise in rates.

ast month, we did a retreat with a precious group of women in California.
As we were taking time to worship the Lord and gain more understanding of His Love for us, His presence, peace and the fullness
of joy came in like a flood. When God’s Word was spoken, it became a magnificent light for our individual pathways of life. It’s so important to take time out of our busy lives and come together with likeminded Believers to worship and seek the Lord’s presence. No Believer
needs to stumble about in darkness all alone. In the times we are living
in, we need to build up, edify and encourage one another in the faith.
Over this last year, as Nan was going through one of the hardest
times in her life, I saw how the Body of Christ came around her with
encouraging words, God’s Love and in mighty intercession. Oh how it

her new book on God’s Hope. She kept gaining more understanding of
God’s Faith and Love, which gave her the fortitude to hang on to His
“right now” hope…

The Joy of the Lord
One of the many blessings that come from intimacy is the overwhelming joy of sensing
God’s presence.
Certainly during our difficult times of stripping and crucifying, we won’t “feel” joyful.
But as God begins to restore our soul and we beOne of the many blessings gin to see His presence in all things, we’ll begin
to experience an unutterable and unspeakable

It’s Jesus’ presence that brings us this joy. As Psalm 16:11 declares, only in
His presence is fulness of joy or complete joy. In other words, joy is our response to
experiencing His presence. As God’s overflowing, abundant, buoyant, joyful happenings begin
to flood our soul, the long, dark, dreary, hopeless and bleak years of frustration and disappointment will simply fade away.
Joy, peace and faith are all linked together. Joy comes from the presence of the
Lord. Peace comes from being fully persuaded that God will do what He has promised.
And faith comes from seeing God in all things (Hebrews 11:27).

others. Scripture tells us that
this is our primary goal and
purpose as a Christian.
“Now the end [goal, purpose] of the commandment is
Love out of a pure heart...” (1
Timothy 1:5).
Just as Paul’s encounter
with Jesus on the Damascus
Road changed his life forever,
we too will have an intense desire to share the Gospel with others, not only in words, but also through our actions. Christ
has become our life, thus, it will be as natural for us to share what He is doing in our lives as
it is to share family news.
When we experience intimacy with Jesus, we’ll have a far greater capacity to genuinely
teach others, because our teaching and sharing will be done by example, not just in words.
Many Christians instruct others on the “crucified life,” but if they never personally experience it, how can they expect to give it to someone else? Only the Spirit of God through us can
touch and affect another’s life. This is the way real Life is imparted.

“Which book can I get?” “What class would be best?”
“Which teacher would you suggest?” My response
has always been the same: “Live it yourselves. Show your children that Agape works for you,
and that it is the only answer!” Our life actions are a hundred times better than our words.
An Example: Our Kids
Years ago, when Chuck and I were going through all our own marital struggles (see
our book, Why Should I Be the First to Change?), our boys were just teenagers. Even with
all our personal problems, Chuck and I were still teaching Bible studies in our home. With
our words we were telling others, “Jesus is our life,” “He’s the answer to all our problems,”

and in our hearts, we
believed this to be
true with all of our
being. But behind
closed doors, it wasn’t
true at all. Our lives
were totally falling
apart and our boys
saw the whole thing.
Teenagers and
nonbelievers, it
seems, are often the
ones most “sensitive” to hypocrisy. They can spot phonies a mile away. (See our book, The
Choice, on this very subject.) You can’t tell your teenagers, “Do as I say,” and not expect them
to look at your life and see if it works for you. If it doesn’t work for you in your own life, how
can you expect them to want it? Our lives need to be examples of what we say. Otherwise, it’s not
the truth! (The definition of truth is “when our words and deeds match and become one.”)
Now being fruitful does not mean that our lives have to be “perfect” or “all together.”
None of our lives ever will be! But, it does mean that we need to be running to Jesus to solve
all our problems. Then we’ll be showing our kids that, in spite of all the hard things going on
in our lives, Jesus is still the only Answer!
There’s an old saying, “If we have head knowledge, then all we can give is head knowledge. If we have heart knowledge, then we can give heart knowledge. But, if we have feet
knowledge (if we are really experiencing in our lives what we are sharing with our words),
then we can truly pass along life knowledge.
In other words, only those who have lived the Cross can give the Cross. Only those who
are intimately experiencing Jesus’ presence can teach about intimacy. This is why Scripture
exhorts us to let our lives be “open books” known and read by all men. “[Your lives] are our
epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men” (2 Corinthians 3:2).
Our Present Relationship with God Affects Everything
Our present relationship with God affects everything we think, say and do. The impact
we have on the world around us depends upon the impact Jesus is having in our own lives at

that moment. We can’t function now on something Jesus did for us twenty years ago. Our relationship and our intimacy with Christ needs to exist in the “now.” It must be ongoing and
growing like any love-relationship.
When our fellowship with Him is intimate and we are experiencing being loved and
cared for, then we will be able to extend that same Love and forgiveness to others. When our
relationship with God is strained or even nonexistent because we are holding on to some
hurt, disappointment or fear, then our relationship

forgive others, we need to first be sitting at the Lord’s
feet, loving Him.
Now if we are going through a night season, and we are not “seeing” or “feeling” anything from God at the moment, we still need to make those “faith” choices to allow God to
purge what He needs to in us. Then, again by faith, we must walk out that Love and forgiveness. In His timing, He promises to align our feelings with our choices and make us genuine.
During the times when I am spiritually weak and someone comes along and asks how I
am, I will often say, “Well, I have made the appropriate faith choices, but my feelings haven’t
aligned yet.” Now, I’m being honest with them, and yet I haven’t lied about how I really feel.
Remember,
we can’t change our feelings
or emotions, we can only
put in charge the Person
who can change them, and
that’s God.
A Reproduction of
Christ an Extension of
His Love
God wants to form
Christ in us so that outward-

ly we can reflect Him in all that we do, and inwardly we can commune and fellowship with
Him. In other words, God doesn’t just want us to be a revelation of Christ, He wants us to
be a reproduction of Christ or an extension of His Love.
The proof of our being like Christ is shown by what we do. Whether we are at home,
at the office, shopping, on trips, every place we go and everything we do will bear fruit and
show that we belong to God.
It’s not that our life will be a “piece of cake” (it definitely will not!), but in all our experiences, our actions will prove that we do, indeed, belong to Christ and have an intimate Loverelationship with Him. Paul expresses it so well:

...Approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much
patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In
stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in
watching, in fastings; by pureness, by knowledge, by
long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the
power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honor and
dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well
known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always
rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

An Example: Fruit of a Pure Heart
A few months ago, I was on a radio talk show and a young Christian man called in and
asked a very good question. “How can I show my wife that I really love her?”
He said his non-believing wife had never experienced real Love. He had bought her
many expensive personal gifts and trinkets for their home, but she still was very insecure in
his love for her. He just wanted to know what he could do to really communicate how much
he loved her.
God gave me a very interesting response: “You know what? All the fancy gifts, treats and
frills that you might buy your wife to show her your love will never compare with the natural
fruit of a pure and loving heart.
In other words, nothing is more precious for a wife than seeing an adoring look from her
husband’s eyes, feeling his soft and gentle touch on her neck and experiencing his other silent,

loving actions that convey so much louder than words, ‘I love you.’ These are the things that
mean so much more to a wife than all the gifts, presents or goodies you could ever possibly
buy.”
(But, I also told him, once he convinced his wife of his love, then gifts are great!) By doing these kinds of loving actions, this husband will not only convince his wife that he loves
her, he will also be a reproduction of Christ to her.
