PROJECT OVERVIEW
The client are a family of five members and
a live-in nanny. The husband is the director of an IT company and
the wife is a customer service senior manager. They have three
children, two boys aged 10years and 1year, a six year old girl. The
gross build-up area is 6662 square feet. The bungalow faces lake in
the west side.

-High ceiling height about 10’
-Entrance lobby wall about 30’H * 20’W
-More natural light with lot of windows
-Water feature around
-Lake on the west for cool breeze
-Good air circulation with lot of windows
-More color in AV room
-Space under the stairs for storage
DESIGN SOLUTION
-Cove lighting in the living and dining room for soft light
-Tile paneled entrance lobby with custom made chandelier
-Curtains are layered sheer and interlined for light and heat
control
-Water feature in the dining terrace for soothing effect.
-Wine storage under the stairs
-Family pictures in the entrance lobby
-Breakfast terrace with dining table and chairs
CONCEPT STATEMENT
The clients wanted a contemporary space that is fresh and simple , full of
life and energy. They were also looking at clean lines and modern western
style. The furniture has clean lines, simple straight edges . The furniture was
selected from global chain of stores located in Malyasia . They also preferred
custom made art. The hand blown glass chandelier is custom made. The
furniture layout in the living dining room was to maximize the views. The
materials were chosen considering the tropical climate.
