accounting. Processing tenant receipts can be a labor-intensive task, but Genesis2
automates this process for you. Smart input methods and optional OCR scanning
streamline the recording of tenant receipts.
Genesis2 combines a comprehensive property and tenant database with over
140 industry-standard reports that can be exported quickly to Adobe PDF,
Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Excel. In addition to standard reports,
Genesis2 offers a unique and flexible analytic reporting tool with graphing
capabilities that can tailor reports to your business needs. In just a few
clicks you can drill down from summary level to the finer details.
Genesis2 can also post monthly charges with the click of a button. With the Detailed
Receipts function, dollar amounts are automatically applied to charges as receipts
are entered. Payable features include vendor-based expense accounts, electronic
payments to owners and vendors, and partial payments as needed. Other controls
include the ability to put holds on individual invoices and vendor accounts,

Text Payments
Online Payments supports paperless self-service rent payments for your residents and
tenants, with a recurring payment option. Residents and tenants can log in at any time,
view their account balances, and pay rent directly from a bank account (ACH payment)
or with a credit card. Online payments are entered directly into Genesis2, with automatic
deposits and easy bank reconciliation. ACH payments are sent to your bank via EFT the
next day, and credit card payments are processed within two to four days.
For apartment renters, paying rent has never been easier. Residents have 24/7 convenient
and secure mobile access to review balances and make payments via SMS text messaging.
Immediate confirmation is provided to residents making text payments from a bank
account or credit card. Rent payments are automatically entered into Genesis2, improving
operational efficiencies while increasing resident satisfaction by providing a desirable
mobile service.

CHECKscan eliminates trips to the bank, lost checks, and manual keying errors. It also reduces NSF risk. Simply
bulk scan batches of personal, corporate, bill pay, and cashier’s checks and money orders to greatly reduce
processing time. CHECKscan creates receipt batches in Genesis2 for all items and permanently stores the image
files — so you don’t need to make copies. Payments are transferred electronically to your financial institution the
next day, optimizing your cash flow.

The ResidentShield Master Policy Program provides residents an easy,
affordable way to fulfill an insurance requirement, with the property
manager listed as ‘primary insured’ and the resident as ‘additional insured.’
It protects the property owner against liability claims resulting from residentcaused damages, with optional coverage amounts ranging from $25,000
- $100,000 per occurrence.
Your residents can visit ResidentShield.com to learn about renters insurance, obtain
an insurance quote, and purchase a policy — in under five minutes.* The resident
is listed as ‘primary insured’ and all policy details are automatically loaded into your
Genesis2 system. Robust compliance reporting and policy activity tracking
is provided via the Insurance Dashboard within Genesis2.
Primarily used as a supplement to ResidentShield HO4 as a ‘forced placed’
alternative, resident enrollments are completed within the Insurance
Dashboard of Genesis2, creating an additional charge on the monthly billing
statement. In addition, property managers may be eligible to earn monthly
servicing convenience fees in exchange for ongoing program administration.
