CONFIDENCE
• Choosing Allen-Bradley drives means you are investing in a level of confidence that offers the assurance you are making the right decision.
• Reliable operation day after day, meaning reduced downtime costs and maximum productivity.
• It starts before you even specify your job as NHP assist you with selections and discussions regarding harmonic solutions and various design options.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
• The national network offered by NHP and further backed by Rockwell Automation offers a level of
support that is second to none.
• Our sales Application Engineering team has extensive experience in VSD applications and is distributed around the country to offer you localised support. This ensures the availability and quality of technical assistance right from the start.
• Our Start-Up package uses the product and industry experience of Rockwell Automation technicians,
which also offers an additional year of warranty. • Innovative Parts Management Agreement ensures you have the critical spares on hand at your site to further minimise downtime.
• Drives remanufacture repair service to the original specification offering a full 12-month warranty.
• Field Service emergency support
• TechConnect for immediate expert phone support
PACKAGED AND HARMONIC SOLUTIONS
• NHP prides themselves on their strength to provide Australian built packaged solutions, tailored to
meet exactly our customer requirements without being locked into a prescribed engineered option. • Our configured drive cabinets, or components offering, allows you to choose from the full suite of
harmonic solutions and other accessories.
EASE OF USE
• The Rockwell Automation software tools offer an easy to use interface, regardless whether you are commissioning the drive from the keypad, using Drive software or utilizing premier integration with RS Logix.
• The drive start up wizard presents a smart way to set up all significant parameters for most applications, and the software provides a terrific interface showing graphically things like ramp times.
FLEXIBLE CONNECTIVITY AND INTEGRATION
• In addition to traditional hardwired I/O, we offer reduced set up and troubleshooting time by seamlessly integrating PowerFlex® drives and Logix programmable automation controllers.
- Real time access to information and production data with Ethernet/IP™, DeviceNet™, ControlNet™
and other commercially available networks
- Lower costs associated with programming, installation and overall ownership with one software tool
for drive configuration, operation and maintenance.
- Increase productivity with immediate access to machine level data and diagnostics.
ONE COMPREHENSIVE RANGE
• The PowerFlex® 750 range offers one common platform extending from 0.75 kW upwards
• Small single phase input drives
• 690 V drives
• High voltage drives for 3.3 kV and 6.6 kV applications, in addition to DC drives
FLEXIBLE PARAMETER SETS AND MOTOR CONTROL
• Allen-Bradley drives offer a solution that’s easy for standard applications, but also includes a high level of functionality for things like: load sharing, shaft synchronisation, lifting and permanent magnet motors.
2
• The embedded DeviceLogix in the PowerFlex® 750 series is a standard offering and can be used with
the usual drives software tools.
• Our motor control algorithms include the traditional choices of:
- V/Hz and Sensorless Vector Control
- Vector Control with patented FORCE™ technology. This helps provide excellent low speed performance for accurate speed and torque regulation.

Benefits of PowerFlex® integration with RSLogix 5000
RSLogix 5000 includes full configuration and download support for the PowerFlex® family of drives.
By integrating this part of the system into a single software package, management of drives in a control
system is consolidated.
Integrated PowerFlex® configuration and setup wizards streamline drives installation with EtherNet/IP™
and ControlNet™ networks by eliminating the task of individually configuring the required drive parameters
and tags. You no longer have to complete complicated programming functions when installing drives or
constantly refer back to user manuals for specific parameter and tag information.
• Compatable with RSLogix 5000 v16 and higher, and for select drives on ControlNet™ or EtherNet/IP™
• Dynamically select drive parameters transmitted as network I/O
• Wizards walk you through drive parameter configuration
• Diagnostic, fault, alarm, and event information are integral to RSLogix 5000
• Allows continual use with DriveExplorer and DriveTools SP via import/export function
• Access, edit and save drive information to the control system project with ease

Harmonic Tools and Solutions
NHP offer a complete suite of harmonic solution products in addition to helping your engineers
calculate and select the best solution for your installation. Utilising powerful harmonic calculation
tools from Rockwell Automation, NHP can assist to simulate your system and provide critical
information for decision making.
Tools
Rockwell Automation’s powerful harmonics calculator allows you to:
• Investigate current and voltage distortion
• Check against IEEE limits
• Investigate distortion levels at various points
of coupling
• Add a second site transformer on the same HV
supply
• Print harmonic spectrum and graphs
• Simulate different harmonic scenarios
Harmonic Solutions
• Multi-pulse drives
• Active front end and low harmonic drives
• ECOsine Passive harmonic filters
• ECOsine advanced Active harmonic filters
*Ask NHP for more information about our drives solutions
ECOsine Passive filters
If the harmonics reduction provided by our integral DC choke still isn’t enough, the ECOsine passive
filter can provide current distortion to THDI = 5%. Filters are available up to 200kW.
• Helps achieve compliance with IEEE and AS/NZ 61000.3
• Increased equipment service life
• Long term savings in operation and maintenance cost
• Fast and simple operation
• Compact and light weight design
• Capacitor bypass terminals included
12
MCD-ABDRIVES-BROCHURE.indd 12

ECOsine Active filters
Active filters are a great way to treat harmonics at one single source, and mitigate the harmonics
produced by a number of drives in parallel. The filters eliminate harmonic currents up to the 50th
harmonic, improving power quality and reducing reactive power usage costs and can be specifically
tuned for problematic harmonics.
• Increase reliability and efficiency of plant
• Improves power factors
• Addresses phase imbalance
• Ultra fast response less than 300 µs
• Optimised for fast maintenance
• Eliminate nuisance tripping of circuit breakers
• IP 54 solutions available
• Offers flexibility of drive loads, and use of standard 6-pulse drives
• Current distortion reduction down to less than 3% THDI possible
For more information please refer to our Harmonic Filtering catalogue, publication PQE-SCH-CAT
