AMABUTHO JUMPERS QUARTERLY NEWS LETTER
Past Events
We are all about providing the best service, so far our work still
looks good and we are planning on keeping it that way.
We have been around the local schools doing the jump rope
demonstrations, as the promotion of the sport. This happened
late January and early February, in such short period of time it had
a huge impact not only in the school but around the communities
as well.
Current Events
The Mozambican high profiled
jump rope team, The Moz Tigers
are hosting the jump rope camp
and have approached

the 13 till 15 March. We are
always delighted to sshare the
skills we possess with others.
As each provinc
province is bringing two of the rope skipping experts, the KZN
rope skipping program manager has selected two of the Amabutho
Jumpers coaches to attend the SAGF Rope Skipping Judges Facilitators

course, from the 20 till 22th March 2015

We will be hosting our annual Club Competition, this
event is one of the important competition of the year as
jumpers have to at least take part in two competitions in
order to represent the Club as well as the KZN Province at
Nationals later on the year.

on the 8 till 10 May 2015 we will host the judges and
coaches clinic as well as the jumpers High Performance
Profiling.

On the 19 and 20 June 2015 there will be SAGF Annual
Awards ceremony. As a usual thing, we will sure be
awarded for the hard work we put on the 2014.
On the 7 and 8 February 2015, AJ Sandile together with AJ Eric
attended the Young Leaders Conference hosted by SAGF (South
African Gymnastics Federation) at SASCOC house in Johannesburg.
This conference was hosted for people who the national
federation believe that in the future they will be able to take over
and do what is best for the sport in the country.
Four of our top level coaches went away for a weekend on a

course to enhance their skills of coaching. From the 20 till 22
February, AJ Sihle, AJ Nomthandazo, AJ Eric and AJ Sandile
attended the fitness instructor course hosted by ETA College.
Future Events
The Western Cape Province is hosting one of the big rope skipping annual
event, The National Rope Skipping Camp, where jumpers from all over the
country and abroad will be gathered together and sharing all about jump
rope. The number one South African team Amabutho Jumpers is joining in
the camp as we love to share our skills.
Our outreach and club level
membership is still growing, we are
now officially conducting jump rope
lessons at the Pinetown Gymnastics
Club, as our branch to reach the
talent around the area. We are still
offering jump rope extra mural
lessons at Roseway Waldorf School.
Keeping Everyone Fit and healthy while having FUN!!!
We are looking at hosting the second AJs winter camp in
July.
