PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Main goal of the reconstruction and modernization of Sopron - Szombathely Szentgotthárd railway line: to implement 1st stage of the railway corridor's
long-term development which establishes a fast and economical railway
connection among Central, Northern Europe and the Adriatic See across
Western Hungary where the terrain is mainly flat.
Main goals of the project:
- to satisfy the needs of travelers and delivery of goods cost-effectively
- to reduce running time both for travelers and for goods
- to improve service quality provided for travelers and goods
- to increases transport safety
- to reduce environmental load (noise and air pollution) significantly.
