between children and volunteers,
and a strong sense of affiliation
with BB/BS on the part of the volunteers.
The successful applicant will be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of fellow staff, volunteers, children,
parents, and agency partners; talk and act with them in mind;
establish and maintain effective relationships with customers/
clients and gain their trust and respect; view her/his role as
adding value to the experience of volunteers and children in their
match relationship; build parental support for the match; deal
effectively with diversity; demonstrate high degree of flexibility
and adaptability. The match enrollment specialist will report
directly to the program director.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred in social services,
human resources or related field. Assessment and relationship
development experience with child and adult populations; understanding child development and family dynamics. Proficiency
in Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Must have car, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.
Required skills and abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in person
and telephone; ability to form and sustain appropriate relationships with students and adult volunteers as based on positive
youth development and volunteer satisfaction; ability to assess
and execute the following relational support skills: guiding, supporting, confronting, advising and/or negotiating; ability to relate
well in multicultural environments, effectively collaborate with
other volunteer match staff, use time effectively, and focus on
details. Skilled in collecting meaningful data and drawing solid
conclusions.
