Message from Jiffy Lube
Players, coaches and fans:
We have great news, 2016 was our final year of our sponsorship of the
Alberta Scotties – Jiffy Lube has had such a positive relationship with the
Alberta Scotties, curling in general and very loyal players and fans that we
have extended our sponsorship for three more years!
Jiffy Lube store owners have strong grassroots, community focused
relationships and supporting local sports is part of that.
With over 50 Jiffy Lube locations in Alberta we are truly honored to be part
of this championship and to continue to support women’s sport.
From the Jiffy Lube family, thank you to all those who make this
championship happen.
Enjoy the amazing shot making and safe travels.

OFFICE OF THE COUNCILLORS
A MESSAGE FROM COUNCILLOR DRUH FARRELL
On behalf of the City of Calgary and my Council colleagues, I welcome the curlers,
coaches and fans to the 2016 Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
While sport and recreation is important to overall health, the benefits go well beyond our
physical and mental state. Team sports like curling inspire young women to have the
confidence to become leaders, good team players, and mentors for others. Working
together to achieve results is a skill that these women will carry throughout their lives.
Calgary has a rich heritage of hosting sporting events, and with our winter climate, it’s also
great to see events and activities that get us up and out during the chillier months. Enjoy
the competition, and I wish all the teams great success in camaraderie, victory and fun.
Women curlers “rock”!
Sincerely,
Councillor Druh Farrell
