Subject: 35th MALE U17 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP – CALENDAR & OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
Dear Sirs:
I ask your attention to the following paragraphs, where are include the most relevant information regarding the 35th. edition of the Male U17 European
Championship, whose organization – under the supervision of CERH – is the responsibility of RFEP–Real Federación Española de Patinaje, in
cooperation with the “Ayuntamiento de Mieres”.
1. DATES, PLACE, REGULATORY FRAMEWORK AND COMPETITION MODEL
1.1 This edition of the Male U17 European Championship will be held in Mieres (Asturias), Spain, from Sunday, 2016, September 4 to
Saturday, 106, September 10, inclusive, with the participation of the following 10 national teams: ANDORRA, AUSTRIA,
ENGLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, ISRAEL, ITALY, PORTUGAL, SPAIN and SWITZERLAND
1.2 In accordance with the final classification of the previous Championship, the PHASE 1 of this competition will be disputed with the 10
participating teams divided in the following two groups:

PORTUGAL + ITALY + GERMANY + AUSTRIA + ANDORRA

Group ”B”:
SPAIN + FRANCE + SWITZERLAND + ENGLAND + ISRAEL
The 5 teams of each Group will compete under the model of a championship (all against all), played with one back, according to the
following points score:

Draw:
1 point
•
Loss:
0 points
In order to safeguard cases of classificatory draw, at the end of each match that finished with a tied result, the execution of direct free hits will be
performed, according with the following procedures:
a) An initial series of 3 direct free hits for each team, which must be executed by different players from each team,
whose shirt numbers must be previously delivered to the Assistant Referee.
b) In the case of maintaining a tie, successive series of one free direct hit need to be executed, which can be
performed by the same player from each team until a winner is found.
c) The outcome of this tie will not affect the final result registered at the end of the regular time of the match
in question and 1 point will be awarded to each team, as established in Article 21, paragraph 1, of the FIRS/CIRH
Technical Rules.
1.2.3
The execution of each direct free hit can be performed in the usual way, i.e., it can be performed with a direct shot on goal or with the
transportation of the ball. If the thrower has decided for the transportation of the ball, he cannot take more than 5 seconds to try to score,
shooting on goal.
1.2.4
Both the Main Referees are responsible for the control of the correct execution of the direct free hit executed with the transportation of the ball,
having in mind that:
a) One of them must control the time of 5 seconds established to start its execution;
b) Once the ball is touched, the other Referee must control the time of 5 seconds that is established to finish the execution of the
direct free hit.
1.2.4
Safeguarding the provisions of the preceding points, the execution of this direct free comply with the provisions set forth in Article 29 of the Rules
of the Game.
1.3 Having in mind the classification obtained in the previous phase of each Group, the PHASE 2 of this competition will be disputed in
successive eliminatory, as established in the official calendar of this competition (see paragraph 2.3 of this Communication).

2. OFFICIAL CALENDAR OF THIS EVENT
2.1
TRAINING FOR ADAPTATION TO THE RINK AND IDENTIFICATION OF ALL THE TEAM REPRESENTATIVES
The practice of adapting to the rink surface, to be performed by each one of the participating national teams, will take place according to
the following schedule planning:
CERH wiil ensure the monitoring and identification of all the team representatives during the practice for adaptation to the rink surface or
during the meeting with the team Delegates, which is scheduled as established in the following paragraph.
2.2
MEETING WITH THE TEAM DELEGATES AND THE DESIGNATED REFEREES
On Sunday, the 10th of September at 10:30H, CERH will handle a meeting with all the team Delegates and the
designated Referees in order to clarify the procedures to be follow during competition, not only in what concerns the official
cerimonies and the matches, but also in what concerns the rules of the game and, in particularly
• the procedures previously referred in paragraph 1.2 of this Communication; and
• the accomplishment of the schedulled hours for the begginning of the matchse and other protocols related with this competition.

3. REFEREES DESIGNATION
CERH has decided to designate the following 10 Referees for the 35th. Male U17 European Championship:
4. VENUE OF THE EVENT AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RINK
The 35th edition of the Male U17 European Championship will be held in the Pabellón Municipal de Deportes Visiola Rollán, which is located
at Calle Villaviciosa - 33600 Mieres (Asturias), España, whose main features are as follows:
Capacity: 1.100 seats
Supporting facilities: 4 changing rooms for teams, 2 changing rooms for the Referees

Dimension of the rink: 42 meters x 21 meters
CLOSEST AIRPORT AND TRANSPORTATION OF THE TEAM REPRESENTATIVES
The Asturias Airport is located in Santiago del Monte - Castrillón, Asturias and it is the closest one of Mieres, which is 70 km away.

8.1 Information about the dates of arrival and of departure of your delegation, including the way of transportation (please
indicate, if it is the case, how are scheduled your flights to/from the Asturias Airport).
8.2 Hotel or place of accommodation of the team delegation.
8.3 Submission of the registration list of all the team representatives of each participant Federation (players, delegates, technical
staff and other representatives). The form is available on the section "EUROPEAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS" of the CERH website, whose

8.4 A photo of the national team, to be publicized in the official program of the competition
