What is
The Norwalk International Cultural Exchange (NICE) Festival will celebrate the rich global heritage and
culture so evident in the music, food, art and talent of which we in Norwalk are so proud.
NICE Festival will showcase artists in the performing arts from multiple cultures to include dancers,
musicians, and arts & crafts, and local international restaurants.
NICE Festival will feature family friendly attractions with child-friendly fun interactive games, and
educational exhibits and encourage families in the community to spend the day together.
NICE will endeavor to support local and global charitable organizations in their fight against the problems
facing the modern world, which as we know, include poverty, hunger, sparse economic/educational
opportunities, and slavery.
NICE is a Norwalk organization that seeks to promote and increase awareness of the diversity of peoples
from around the world through arts and culture.

Festival Overview
One day festival event celebrating different world cultures through music, food and the
performing arts.
Supported by Norwalk Department of Recreation & Parks, Norwalk International Cultural
Exchange, Inc., sponsors, and vendors
Food (world cuisines)

Dance (Flamenco, Asian, African, etc.)
Music: Rock/Reggae/ Rhythm & Blues/Latin/Jazz
Education, Health and Environmental exhibits

According to Brandmuscle’s State Of Local Marketing Report on
Local events and Sponsorships:

Local events ranked the #1 and #3 tactic on the satisfaction
scale in 2014 and 2015, respectively for local marketers.

Local events were also the second most-used with 87% of
respondents.

The Events and Sponsorships category ranked highest in both
satisfaction and use on the satisfaction index, indicating that
local affiliates find events to be more effective than other
tactics evaluated.
