Center Closure
As our summer begins to wind down things here RCAC will be closed Friday, August 28 for

home delivered meals that day and no
RCAC bus service.
1. As many of you have seen, RCAC purchased
a new bus. This purchase was made
because the old van was no longer cost
effective. The van was spending more time
in the garage and the cost to keep it on the
road was more expensive than a purchase of
the new bus.
The new bus was partially purchased with a
$30,000 grant. The remaining half has been
financed while we work to find another grant.
Just to ease everyone's mind the price of a ride
will not be going up now or anytime in the future.
2. In November 2014, we applied for and
received a grant from the State of
Pennsylvania for renovations at the
Senior Center totaling $98,625. Beginning
shortly the large activity room will go through
a complete redo. We will be adding three
activity rooms, which includes a small area
for exercise. The offices of both myself and
Lynn will be placed in a new second
story. The floors will be redone and a new
front door will be added.
VOLUNTEERS
Bingo callers are needed for
Wednesday afternoons from 1pm-3pm.
