UniSTAR eCFG for IP Oversea Partner requires that you log in with your QID file. Contact the
corresponding Huawei product manager to obtain the QID file, initial password and UniSTAR eCFG
for IP Oversea installation file.

Installing the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner
Install the UniSTAR eCFG as prompted by the wizard. Ensure that Microsoft Office Excel process is
ended during installation.

Double-click the UniSTA eCFG for IP Oversea
installation file.

The UniSTAR eCFG for IP Oversea installation
starts.
If the UniSTAR eCFG detects that the installed
software does not meet the requirement, the
Next is unavailable. If the hardware does not
meet the requirement, a dialog box is
displayed.

Select Partner for a partner user, click Next
to Install the software.

Logging In to the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner
Online Login: you can log in to the UniSTAR to perform operations such as upgrading the software and
data packages.
Offline Login: When the network connection is abnormal and you fail to log in to the UniSTAR eCFG,
you can log in to the UniSTAR eCFG in offline mode and perform configuration and quotation.

Click here to select the user ID file, then enter the password.

Select the server or Local from the Log in to drop-down list.

Note:
The QID file requires online authentication when it is used for the first time. Do not use the proxy server to log in online.
If you have not logged in to the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner within seven days, online authentication is performed
during login.
The QID file must be used only on one computer. If it is used on different computers, there will be duplicate quotation bill
numbers. This affects the order placement, manufacturing and shipment.

Installing the Data Package
At the first login to the UniSTAR eCFG, the dealer cannot download the data package due to the lack of
the permission to download product data. The dealer needs to obtain the permission from the agent data
package prepared by the product manager. After the data package is installed, the UniSTAR eCFG will
prompt you to upgrade the local data when new data is released on the server.

In the Information dialog box, click OK.

Select a data package and click Open.

Upgrading the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner Online
After you log in to the UniSTAR eCFG online, the UniSTAR eCFG prompts you to upgrade the UniSTAR
eCFG when a new version is released.

In the Software Upgrade Tip dialog
box, click Restart Now.
After the software is upgraded, you
can log in again to use the new version

Upgrading the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner Offline
In the case of poor network performance, you need to import the local product data package to update
the data package. You have installed an earlier version of the UniSTAR eCFG client on your local
computer.

Double-click the installation program of the
latest version of the UniSTAR eCFG.

Click Yes.The system is automatically
upgraded to the latest version.
Note:
Upgrading the UniSTAR eCFG for Partner will not
affect the existing data.

Upgrading the Data Package Online(1)
If a new version of the data package exists on the server, the dealer can log in to the UniSTAR eCFG
online and upgrade the data package according to the system messages or manually upgrade it later.
To upgrade the data package as prompted, perform the following steps:

To manually upgrade a data package in online mode, perform the following steps:

Choose Upgrade > Upgrade Software and Data
from the Menu Bar.

In the Upgrade Software and Data area, select
the product data and price data, click Download.

Upgrading the Data Package Offline
In the case of poor network performance, you need to upgrade the data package by importing a local
product data package. The product manager needs to prepare data packages for the partners to import.

Choose Upgrade > Import Local Product Data
Package from the Menu Bar.

imported, and then click Open.

Creating a Project(1)
You can create a quotation bill after obtaining business and commercial requirements from customers by
analyzing a tender. The quotation bill includes product configuration information and quotation information
that can be quickly generated by using the UniSTAR eCFG. In the UniSTAR eCFG, the configuration
information and quotation information about a product is managed as a project.

Choose Project > New from the Menu Bar.

Enter the basic information about a project.

In the UniSTAR eCFG, you can export an .xls quotation bill for each solution. Each quotation bill has a
unique identifiable bill number.

In the Add Equipment Solution dialog
box, enter the basic information about the
solution.

Click OK.
Note:
After creating a project, the dialog box “Add Equipment Solution“ is
displayed. If you want to create multiple solutions, right-click the
solution node and choose “Add Equipment Solution“ .

For the transport network, you need to create a subnet under a solution and then add products under the
subnet node.

Right-click a solution node and choose
New Subnet from the shortcut menu.

Adding a product
Before configuration and quotation, you need to add the products to be sold to the UniSTAR eCFG.

Right-click a solution node and choose Add
Products.
For a transmission network solution, right-click
a subnet node and choose Add Products from
the shortcut menu.

Select the products and version, and then click
OK.
Note:
The products shipment date must be earlier
than their dates of EOM or EOS.
EOM: End of Marketing.
EOS: End of Service & Support.

Configuring a Product(1)
After adding the product, set the product properties, parameters, and part number. The following section
uses configuring the main equipment as an example. Configuring the loose parts and power supply is
similar to configuring the main equipment.

Double-click the main device node and click
the Product Properties tab.

Double-click the Site/Quantity column,
configure the product's logical site, and the
quantity of products under this site.
Click
to configure the sites, parameters
and quantity of products of a same series in
batches.
Configure parameters of the main device:
a. click the Configure Wizard tab.

parameters of the main device in the
Input column.

After the product is configured, the UniSTAR eCFG automatically calculate the number of parts
associated with the product and displays it in the Quantity column of the Bill of Configuration.

Modified
ALL indicates that all parts of a device are displayed.
Quantity>0 indicates that the parts whose quantity are greater than 0 are displayed.
Modified indicates that the parts whose quantity are changed are displayed.
Quantity>0 + Modified indicates that the parts whose quantity are greater than 0 and
quantity are changed are displayed.
Association
Calculation
Indicates association calculation, which is used to calculate the number and price of
associated parts on the current tab page.
Hide Price
Hides the price column.
Recommend
Shows or hides the Recommended column, that is, show or hide the recommended
standard quantity.
Optional
Displays the Optional column. Select the Optional column to perform an optional
quotation.
Expand Package
Displays the items in a package. If you select Expand Package, you can view the items in
a rough package or change the number of items in the rough package.
Display End of
Production Part
Displays a part whose production is stopped. When you select this column, you can
provide a quotation for this part.

Configuring a maintenance service(1)
The system automatically adds a maintenance service to the main devices after they are configured. You
can modify the maintenance service parameters or manually add a maintenance service as required.

Click the Service Configuration tab.

Modify the maintenance service parameters.
a. Select a required maintenance service and
click Modify.
b. Modify the type, level, and year of the
service.
c. Click OK.

Setting a Commerce and Discount(1)
INCOTERMS tab Enables you to set the currency name, trade terms and quotation methods for
transportation and insurance.

Double-click the solution node and click the
INCOTERMS tab.

Set commerce attributes based on commerce
parameters in the Property column.

Set the freight and insurance fees.
 If Trade Type is set to Explicit, you can
enter the freight and insurance fees in the
Explicit area.
 If Trade Type is set to Embedded, you can
adjust the trade coefficients of Huawei
hardware and Huawei software to transfer
the freight and insurance fees to the
product price in the Embedded area.
 If Trade Type is set to Embedded+Explicit,
you can enter the freight and insurance
fees and adjust the trade coefficients in the
Explicit area and Embedded area.

Parameters
Description
Currency
Indicates the local currency name. You can select a currency name from the
drop-down list.
Trade Type
The UniSTAR eCFG provides three quotation methods for freight and
insurance fees: Embedded, Explicit, Embedded+Explicit.
Explicit quotation: Display the freight and insurance fee in an exported
quotation bill.
Embedded quotation: The freight and insurance fees are included in the
device price, that is, the freight and insurance fees are not provided in the
generated quotation bill.
Embedded+Explicit quotation: The freight and insurance fees of some
products are provided in the generated quotation bill, and the freight and
insurance fees of some products are included in the device price.

You can set discounts for the sales products by product type.

click the Product Discount tab on the
Discount tab page.

In the Discount column on the Product
Discount tab page, set a product
discount.

Click Save to save changed contents.
Click Reload to restore the contents that
is changed but not saved to the previous
contents saved.
Note:
That the discount in the UniSTAR eCFG indicates the fee to be charged rather
than a reduction. For example, if you want to reduce 60% of the fee, enter 40%.

Set the search condition of a part and click
Search.
You can enter a part number, model, or
description as a search criteria.

In Results area, select the part for which you
want to set a discount, click Insert.

Two discount methods are provided as follows:
• In the Discount column, set a discount
percentage.
• In the Unit Price column, enter the unit price
of the part.
If you modify the value of either Discount or
Unit Price, the value of the other one is
modified too.

Exporting a Quotation(1)
The UniSTAR eCFG checks the output options before exporting a quotation bill, and then identifies
output options that does not meet the requirements.

Right-click the project node or solution node
and choose Output Quotation from the
shortcut menu.

In the Select Solution area, select solutions
and click Next.
Note:
When a solution is marked with Missing Base Data,
there is no basic data for the solution and the
quotation bill related to the solution cannot be
exported.

The system starts to check the solution
data. The items that do not pass the check
will be marked with a . Click Next to view
the error data.

View the suggestions for revising the error
configuration and quotation here.

During configuration and quotation, the UniSTAR eCFG cannot calculate the quantities or prices of the
associated products in real time. In this case, you need to use the non-realtime calculation function to
trigger the calculation of associated products.

(Optional)Select the product for non-realtime
calculation, click Calculate.
Note:
Select Keep Manual Modifications to keep the modified
product configurations, or else the non-realtime calculation
will operate based on the system's default configuration.

After the system checks the output items and performs real-time calculation, the Output Configuration
dialog box is displayed. Select a quotation format based on the customer's requirement.
All in one is a generic and simple format. The solutions that use this format can generate quotations in
the same structure. If you select this format, you can manually copy the product quotation of different
product lines into one quotation.

Deleting Formulas and Macros from a Quotation
Bill (1)
The quotation bill exported from the UniSTAR eCFG contains formulas and macros, and you need to
delete these formulas and macros when the quotation bill is submitted to the customer.

After Generating a Quotation Bill in the
UniSTAR eCFG, open the quotation bill.

Choose Add-Ins->UniSTAR CFG
Tools from the menu bar of the Excel
quotation bill.

Clear All(1-5)
All contents that can be deleted with the following sub items can be cleared with this
option.
Delete discount sheet
Delete the discount sheet in the quotation bill. At the same time the formula in Unit
Price in the L3 sheet will be automatically deleted. However the formulas used to
summarize the prices still exist.
Delete hidden rows and columns
Deletes all hidden rows and columns. The formulas used to summarize the prices
still exist.
Delete Parameters sheet
Deletes the parameter table from the quotation bill.
Clear all formulas
Deletes the hidden rows and columns. All formulas used to summarize the prices still
exist.
Delete Remark column
Deletes the Remark column.
Reset print page Information
Resets the new print page information.

The quotation in Normal format containing price information is shown in the following figure. The quotation
contains discount, parameters, cover, L1 summary and L2 summary, and each sheet describes the parts
for only one product.

Querying Part Information(1)
Query part information of a certain product.

Choose Tools > Query Part Information from the
menu bar.

On the General Condition tab page, enter the
information of product such as model and part
description.

Click Search. The Results area displays the
search results based on all criteria. If you do not
specify any criteria, this area displays the
information about all parts by default.

Click Part Replacement Information to view the
part information, such as part prices, lifecycle
information, and replacement information.

If you want to search for multiple part numbers,
click the Multi Part Number Query tab.
On the Multi Part Number Query tab page,
enter complete part numbers in batches (a part
number per line; or enter multiple part numbers
separated with commas or semicolons).

this area displays the information about all parts
by default.

the part information, such as part prices,

Editing Solutions in Batches
The solution names, contract numbers, framework contract numbers, PO numbers and sites of all
solutions under the project can be edited in batches.
It is usually used for PO information maintenance in the 1P1C scenario and site revision in the
scenario where the quotation of microwave products is based on hops.

Batch Edit Solution Information.

Transport Network: How to Configure an OUT(1)
OTU boards include base boards and optical modules. When you provide quotations for OTU boards,
choose a quotation method for OTU boards(once quotation method is selected, it cannot be modified).
Split quotation: provides quotations for the baseboards and the optical modules of the OTU boards respectively. The
information about baseboards and the optical modules is summarized respectively in quotation bill.
Combined quotation: provide quotations for the baseboards and the optical modules of the OTU board as a whole in
quotation bill. When two boards have the same code with different description, they are two different OTU boards.

In combined quotation, an OTU code is a virtual code. That is, one OTU board code corresponds to multiple OTU boards
that are differentiated by board description. Therefore, when you manually insert OTU boards, you must enter baseboard
codes, optical module codes, wavelength, and quantity as remarks in the ISC. Otherwise, the ISC cannot identify inserted
OTU boards or perform production. If you need only empty baseboards, insert correct baseboard codes directly.

Note:
When set parameters, you can view the
help information about parameters and
algorithms.
You can click Backward or Forward
button to go to the back step or the next
step of formula.
When you click Lock button, help
information will not display other
parameters except unlock. You can click
Go to Corresponding Cell button to go
to the locked parameter.
If the help information above does not resolve your questions, you
can contact your related product manager, channel manager,
regional or representative office contact person for further help.
