It feels like summer weather has
arrived. At least we have Fireworks
and Cardboard Boat Races to look
forward to! Please remember,
Fireworks Extravaganza will take
place Friday, July 5th. We've got
entertainment lined up prior to the
fireworks display, and this will be a
great night of fun! Thanks to our
sponsors, volunteers, members,
vendors, and staff for making it all
happen. I look forward to seeing you
there!

Wade Rodgers
Wade Rodgers came to our rescue by
decorating the Butterfly Tent at
Springfest. Flowers, rocks and various
decorative items were provided by
Wade who owns Pro Landscapes in
Heber Springs. He was able to get the
chamber's antique waterfall/fountain
operating and placed pots of Verbena
and Azaleas throughout the tent.
We appreciate Wade's willingness to
volunteer to help in such a generous
way both in time, talent and products.
THANKS Wade....over 150 children,
the many parents and other chamber
volunteers are most appreciative for
your kindness.

The Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism
recently hosted Media Day in Heber Springs. The
effort was to promote tourism in our area to a wide
range of media and to give a preview of the plans for
the 50th Anniversary of the dedication of Greers Ferry
Dam celebration. Those in attendance toured Greers
Ferry Dam and enjoyed lunch at ASU-Heber Springs
while hearing recounts of that historic day by Cecil
Alexander and Carl Garner.
The June Chamber Cupcake
Brigade visited the beloved Jerome
Johnson. Mr. Johnson was president
of the Cleburne County Bank for many
years, is respected as a founding father
of Heber Springs, and is in the
Chamber's Hall of Honor. His tireless
work to build business and industry in
Heber Springs has helped shape this
community into the wonderful town it
is today.
Each month, a Chamber member will be treated to cupcakes
