SCENE
HASPEL’S 105TH BIRTHDAY
Hollywood’s new regime of wunderkinds (Alex Pettyfer, Will Petz, Hailee Steinfeld, and others) joined
designer and fashion personality Michael Kors for a
star-filled Beverly Hills private dinner in support of
photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank’s new book,
“Young Hollywood.” Featuring a personal introduction
from Kors himself, the publication draws parallels between old Hollywood and today’s rising stars.
CHAMPAGNE LOUIS ROEDERER AND PHILIPPE
STARCK LAUNCH BRUT NATURE 2006
“THE VISIONARY WORLD
OF VOGUE ITALIA”
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vogue Italia, the
brewery buffs of Peroni Nastro Azzurro constructed
a 30-video exhibition featuring behind-the-scenes
documentary and editorial footage from the magazine’s historical index of collaborators such as Marina
Abramović, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Fassbender,
and Philip Treacy. Attending the exhibition’s opening
night at Industria Superstudio in New York City, guests
ranged from fashion legends to stars of the screen, including Baz Luhrmann, Zachary Quinto, Ellen von Unwerth, Carolyn Murphy, Eddie Borgo, and many more.
Atop the New Museum’s Sky Room in New York City,
Louis Roederer welcomed the U.S. arrival of Brut Nature, the champagne house’s first cuvée in over 40
years, to an intimate group of tastemakers, friends,
and family. Hosted by noted designer and Brut Nature
collaborator, Philippe Starck, the evening included
exquisite food pairings (French-style goose foie gras,
organic heart of Scottish smoked salmon, summer
Comté cheese) with the sparkling and personal narrations of the champagne’s inception from Starck, Louis
Roederer President Frédéric Rouzaud, and Chef de
Cave Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon.
FIFTH ANNUAL VEUVE CLICQUOT
POLO CLASSIC, LOS ANGELES
Basked in the warm California sunlight, LA’s most
celebrated names (Rashida Jones, Joe Jonas, Rosario Dawson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, “Scandal” stars
Tony Goldwyn and Scott Foley, and more) took to Will
Rogers State Historic Park to attend the Fifth Annual
Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Los Angeles. Armed with
perfectly chilled flutes of bubbly, the stars, along with
over 4,000 spectators, cheered player Nacho Figueras and the Black Watch Polo Team on as they defeated team Veuve Clicquot 10-7.

ALEXANDER WANG X
H&M RUNWAY REVEAL
Displaced all the way uptown, Alexander Wang and
Swedish retailer H&M hijacked Washington Heights’ Armory on the Hudson, turning the indoor track and field
stadium in New York City into a high-octane parkour
arena, runway show, concert space, and all-around lavish
party. From Tyson Beckford on the catwalk to Missy Elliot’s surprise performance afterward—followed by none
other than Diplo—the launch party might very well challenge the sportswear collection’s own place in history.

MADE POSSIBLE BY DIOR
Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, Emily Blunt, Will Arnett, Patricia Arquette, Matthew Goode, and more
joined host Matthew Morrison on stage for the
Eighth Annual Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards
this past month at the Ebell of Los Angeles. Honoring
Hollywood’s creative minds on the other side of the
camera, such as recipients Director Bennett Miller
(“Foxcatcher”), Production Designer Donald Graham Burt (“Gone Girl”), and Cinematographer Robert
Yeoman (“The Grand Budapest Hotel”), the ceremony also celebrated Hamilton Watches’ longstanding
relationship with the motion picture industry.
Underneath the late German artist Otto Piene’s
specially installed “White Balloon,” Marion Cotillard
bobbed beside Brad Goreski (in Dior and Dior Homme, respectively) to the live music of The xx at Dior’s
pre-party for the Guggenheim International Gala in
New York City, hosted by the museum’s Young Collectors Council. Dior Creative Director Raf Simons attended bookended by an army of top-models (Katlin
Aas, Irina Liss, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Diana Moldovan)
and A$AP Rocky, while fashion’s finest like Harry
Brant, Michael Avedon, Joan Smalls, and Derek Blasberg mingled with the who’s who in cinema (John
