Call to Worship
One: Let us worship the eternal God, the Source of Love and Life, who
creates us.
All: Let us worship Jesus Christ, the Risen One, who lives among
us.
One: Let us worship the Spirit, the Holy Fire, who renews us.
All: To the one true God be praise in all times and places,
through the grace of Jesus Christ!
*Hymn #277
“Holy, Holy, Holy”
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Holy God, we come to you with prayer and praise and yet we
confess that too often we fall short of your intentions for us and
of our expectations of ourselves.
We would touch the world with goodness, but often we
withdraw in self-concern.
We would live with integrity and stand for truth, but we are
paralyzed with uncertainties.
We would warm the lives of others with our love, but hesitate,
wondering if they will love us in return.
We need your presence, O God, if we are to be what we could be
and want to be. May our worship heal us, renew us, and
strengthen us. Amen.
