PROGRAM
FCBEscola Summer Camp, Santo Domingo, is a unique opportunity to
enjoy specialized soccer training, thanks to the participation of trainers
from the club with most titles and most successful soccer philosophy
around the globe.
In addition, participants will enjoy seminars focused purely on soccer,
an activity-based menu designed by our sports nutritionist, multiple
visits to the city of Santo Domingo, and many additional recreational
activities.

METHODOLY OF TRAINING
FCBEscola Summer Camp, Santo Domingo, is the best
way to feel like a player from FC Barcelona, as the
training is implemented through the club’s
methodology which has proven largely successful in
the world of soccer.
The program’s objectives are:




Discover FC Barcelona’s philosophy and
methodology of training.
Learn, improve, and perfection the main
technical and tactical aspects of soccer.
Share with other players of similar age and enjoy interactive activities.
Expand the knowledge of FC Barcelona and its installations in FCBEscola Santo Domingo.
Specific training for Goalkeepers: A program directed to improve the technical complexities that this
position requires. Each training session follows the adequate method to address the technical
demands and also garners a major understanding of playing in this position. Goalkeepers are
integrated with others both in training games and in real situations.
The program is designed for players between 12 and 17 years old with passion for soccer who which to
develop their technical and tactical abilities, enjoy the game and take it far beyond its possibilities.
English-Spanish Bilingual program: The trainers of FCBEscola Santo Domingo guarantee
the execution and success of these training sessions, the same method of training used
in the inferior categories of FC Barcelona.

The Summer Camp is the responsibility of FCBEscola, which appoints the trainers, the work program
and chooses the steps that must be followed during training sessions.

The training sessions will be complimented with seminars led
by the same trainers and professionals of FCBEscola Santo
Domingo. The participants will be able to learn and apply FC
Barcelona’s vision both methodologically and philosophically
to make a more accurate reading of the game.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
With a population of 3 million +, Santo Domingo is a
cosmopolitan city and, possibly, the most vibrant in the
entire Caribbean region. The city in itself shows off its
contrasts at all times: boutique hotels located in
antique paved streets, an international and gourmet
cutting-edge kitchen versus typical native dishes, while
the large and modern hotels with view to the Caribbean
Sea contrast their traditional house foundations.
As the oldest city in the New World, Santo Domingo has, between all other aspects, the first street, the
first cathedral, the first university, and the first hospital of the Americas. In fact, visitors tend to notice
the well-kept colonial city, declared a ‘Humanity Heritage City’ by UNESCO in 1990, as it makes them
feel like they are being transported in time. In addition, thanks to its selection as the American Capital
of Culture in 2010, the International Bureau of Cultural Capitals, with the collaboration of Dominican
Authorities, recently invited the population to the task of selecting between 27 candidates the 7
treasures of Cultural Heritage of Santo Domingo. El Alcazar de Colon, the Cathedral, La Fortaleza
Ozama, The Museum of Casas Reales, El Jardin Botanico, El Malecon, and the Palace of Bellas Artes

ACCOMODATIONS
Hotel Occidental El Embajador is located in one of the most privileged residential zones in the city of
Santo Domingo. Occidental El Embajador is the most emblematic hotel in the city. Its Club-like
characteristics and its beautiful gardens make it the ideal place for the players to have a secure and fun
atmosphere during their stay.
Inside the installations of Hotel Occidental El Embajador we receive a specific private residence area
just for our players. There is also a private lounge for recreational and relaxation purposes. For every
12 players, we will have a trainer residing in the hotel. Our Technical Director and two collaborators
are at residents’ service during their all of their stay.








Transportation / Airport Logistics
Every transportation needed for the purpose of the camp will be done through a private bus.
Airport pick-up:
Our staff will pick-up participants at the international airport in Santo Domingo if you desire and
proceed to request the service. The participants are taken to their stay at the hotel.
Those traveling as minors without an accompanying adult, we will facilitate the information of the
person who will receive the participant at the airport.
Arrival with a family member:
There is the option to bring the player personally to the hotel. There is a specific timeframe for this
option, so please verify arrival and departure times.

SANTO DOMINGO TOUR
The city is a combination of antique excitement and new latino modernism. Its forts and medieval
palaces are intertwined with huge commerce comparable with any modern city in the world. You will
find phenomenal beaches and treasures such as caves, gardens, and beautiful parks.
PUNTA CANA AND BEACH SOCCER
Of the activities most liked, our players’ favorite is our trip to the beach, around two hours from the
city, where they can not only swim, but they can choose to play soccer or simply relax.
We include a guided and accompanied tour to Punta Cana, one of
the most amazing beach regions in the world. With 160 kilometers
of top quality beach, bathed in turquoise waters and bordered by
many palm trees, Punta Cana is the most splendid and popular
destination in the Dominican Republic.
