2015 is right around the corner – are you ready?
We concluded the last quarter of the year with quality programming. October brought the
session labeled – “Your Closing – Dead or Alive” presented by Marian Montgomery with
Hallmark Title. The following month, Amy Zumberger with Ask Amy Staging shared how
to decorate for the holidays when your house is for sale and a few tips on helping with
difficult conversations on downsizing. In November, the National Women’s Council of
Realtors held the annual convention in New Orleans. Quite a few of our members traveled
to this conference and along with networking with Realtors from across the country, we
attended programs designed to enhance our business and made new friends.
The Holiday Gala and Officer Installation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at
the NCR Country Club. The new line officers installed are:
Linda Shurte, Irongate – President; Tanya Blair, Leading Stars Realty – President-Elect;
Paula Buehrer, Big Hill Realty – Vice-President of Membership; Julie Beougher, Evans
Title Agency– Secretary and Jenny Farrell, Prime Lending – Treasurer. A huge thank you
goes out to all who attended. We also want to thank the sponsors of our event. They
realize the value of being associated with our national organization.
And, finally, thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to serve as the President of
the Dayton Women’s Council of Realtors for the last 2 years. It has truly been a rewarding
experience. In September, our Sharon Geier with Irongate Realtors moved up to President
for the Ohio Women’s Council of Realtors and I was elected Treasurer– the fun will only
continue! If you’re a member, thank you for your participation in our local chapter. If you
would like more information on what we are about, go to www.wcrdayton.org. Today,
Women's Council is the twelfth largest U.S. women's professional organization and has one
of the most successful communication networks in the NAR family. Chapters include real
estate professionals who support the objectives of Women's Council and are interested in
serving the industry, the community and fellow REALTORS®. Our schedule and
programs are already in place for 2015. We’re ready!
