A Note From Our President:
I hope everyone had a wonderful
Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you for all that came out for
Family Fun Night. Fun was had by all!!
Thank you to all the parents that helped
put it together!
Our coat drive was a huge success and
the Lowcountry Orphan Relief was
thrilled for the donation. Thank you to
those able to participate.
We are planning some fun things for the New Year! Our next meeting is Friday, January 10th.

The BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION collection was a huge success! AND THE WINNER IS...Abby Stone’s Class!!! They
won an ice cream party for having collected the most BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION.

Coat Drive
The Coat Drive benefitting Lowcountry Orphan
Relief wrapped up in November. We collected 121
coats (and a few accessories)! The drive was a
great success! Thank you to all the helped donate
to this great cause!!
Virtue of the Month
Compassion is understanding and caring when someone is hurt or
troubled, even if you do not know them. It is wanting to help, even if all
you can do is listen and say kind words. You forgive mistakes. You are
a friend when someone needs a friend.

Dazzling Dolphins
O'Quinn has a Dazzling Dolphins Program which rewards students for when they are "caught" doing
something kind, helpful or setting a good example of the virtue of the month. When the student is awarded a
Dazzling Dolphin, they are taken to the front office where they get to pick out a prize. Occasionally, the lifesized Dazzling Dolphin will make a special appearance at the school to play with the kids!

Letter from our Director
Ms. Nikki’s Top 10 reasons it’s great to be a part
of O’Quinn…especially during the Holidays:

You hear jovial singing and laughter from all corners of the
building as the children prepare for all of the special events.
9.
The aroma of Ms. Johannah’s fresh bread baking fills the halls.

The teachers sponsor a local family in need to give gifts to make
their season bright!
7. Our Extended Hours students make festive ornaments for their families to “buy” so that the funds raised can be
donated to the local charity HALOS.
6. The 4 year olds have their very own “Santa’s Workshop” to create and pretend in everyday during
December….Oh what fun!
5. Our students and staff will have extra time to spend with loved ones over the holiday break.
4. Our auditorium will be filled with aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents of our 3’s, 4’s and Kindergartners to
watch the O’Quinn School’s Holiday Show during the last week of school.
3. Gingerbread scented play dough to smell and mold into snowmen and Christmas trees.
2. The “Elf on the Shelf” encourages nice lunchroom manners.
1. To watching the innocence and joy in the children’s eyes and reminiscing about those special times as a child.
