OF ALL STRIPES
Ar e you sick of one-sided political debates? Do you w ant to
discuss cur r ent events and par ticipate in the com m unity?s
political pr ocess? Vox Popu l i m ay be the club for you!
We ar e a club w hich seeks to cr eate an envir onm ent of

open to students of any or no political affiliation. We w ill

after school in r oom C-227.
WORKING TOGETHER: Nia
Kitchin, a senior, led an art
collaboration between CHS
students and young artists at the
Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention
Center. Nia's work was profiled in
C-Ville Weekly.
This striking piece can be fully
appreciated by visiting the CHS
art gallery. Called "Art in
Between," it's Picasso's
"Guernica" brought to new life in
a patchwork of pieces by
students from both schools.
CONVERSING ABOUT CHANGE: CHS English 10 students discuss
their proposals to change a policy -- either at Charlottesville High
School, or in the city of Charlottesville. As part of their project,
tenth-graders wrote an essay, then summarized their main points
during a presentation at the 2015 Gallery Walk. They talked to
teachers, administrators, city councilors, school-board members,
and fellow students.
