The Benefits of IB
Academic Strength of Curriculum
Research, Writing, Critical Thinking, Organization, TimeManagement Skills, Maturity, Responsibility
Accepts and Faces Challenges, International experience
Extracurricular Involvement
Better performance in university
Marks aren’t everything – the goal of education is learning
Better preparation for the working world
Would you put in 2 years of hard work into the IB Programme,
to gain a lifetime of rewards as an adult with a good education
and a good job?
The Benefits of IB
Nobody can know
at age 20 which
field will produce
jobs when he’s 40,
so it’s better to just
try to become a
good person.
The Benefits of IB
Dr. JoAnn Deak (www.deakgroup.com) – specialist
in psychology and brain research
People are born with different strengths and
weaknesses, but they can all be stretched
Must develop the brain’s weaker neural connections
while children are still young
Don’t focus only on strengths
A well-rounded education will prepare your brain for
the challenges of life
University Recognition of IB
The IB Diploma is widely recognized by the world’s
leading universities
Most universities grant transfer credits for HL
courses where students score 5 or above
OUAC asks if students are IB Diploma Candidates
Start thinking about universities NOW,
