Help us Control
Pet Overpopulation
in 2015
Dear
It is because of the compassion and generosity of supporters like you,
Whatcom County is seeing the lives of more cats and dogs saved every year. Our
vision is to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy cats and dogs in
Whatcom County. The response from both the shelter and our clients is
inspiring! A Whatcom Humane Society volunteer wrote earlier this year “Wow,
you guys are making such a difference-so few cats in the adoption kennels.
Thank you so much!” And from our clients-“This is a great service you provide”
and “I just want to thank you for being so easy to work with and so non-judgmental of my situation”.
WeSNiP’s impact is clear thanks to recent statistics provided by the
Whatcom Humane Society. In 2013 WHS took in 1600 less cats and dogs
and euthanized 1200 less cats and dogs than in 2008-the year
WeSNiP started. This has been made possible by having spay and neuter
services accessible and affordable, no matter what the circumstances, to people
with financial, logistical and transportation problems. This means less painful, life
and death decisions having to be made on a daily basis. Our community has
supported this proactive, innovative and life-saving program from the beginning
and will continue to see the benefits!
With your support there will continue to be less kittens and puppies, less
homelessness and less euthanasia. WeSNiP is looking forward to saving even
more lives in the New Year. But, we cannot do it without you; you are a
crucial part of this program. This program relies on grants, fundraisers and
donations to continue Whatcom County’s evolution into a community where
discarded, unwanted dogs and cats are no longer a problem. WE NEED YOUR
HELP. Whether your donation is large or small, it will make a big difference.
Please join the “$10 a month club” or make a one-time donation.
