Real Time Trip Trade
The Real Time Trip Trade system is designed for trips that depart the next calendar day. At
1100 Local Base Time (LBT) the pilot real time trip trade window opens. Out-of-base trip
trades start at 1300 LBT before the trip reports.
Once trips have been selected for pick up or trade, a verification screen will display. The
screen will display a summary of the request.
Note: Once you click the „Pickup‟ or „Trade‟ tab, the system will check for legalities. If the
trade is possible, the trip will be added to your line. You will not be able to reverse your
request once a trade or pickup is complete.
Please see the ALPA Real Time Trip Trade /Aggressive Pick Up user guide located at Flying

Seniority Trip Trade
The Seniority Trip Trade system is a tool that will award schedule modification requests in
compliance with the UPA and FARs. Seniority Trip Trades are available to lineholders only.
The system will open at 1200 Local Base Time (LBT) on the 20th of each month to allow
requests for the following month. A maximum of 18 separate requests can be saved for
processing. Trades can be entered any time after the system opens until the end of the bid
month. The system will begin to process trades for the next bid month on the 24th at 1500
LBT. The system will then run every 4 hours until the end of the bid month in which you are
trading. After 1100 LBT any stored requests that contain a trip departing the next day will no
longer be considered by the Seniority Trip Trade System.

Companion should be directed to eTripTrader at [email protected] or (208) 424-9424.
