School Nutrition Employee Week, May 2-6
Golden Spoodle Awards
School Nutrition Employee Week (SNEW), held annually in May, provides an opportunity to celebrate individuals who
make school food programs successful. Although CFISD has more than 1,200 food service workers worthy of recognition
for preparing healthy school meals and teaching healthy nutrition habits to students, nine food service representatives of
schools were recognized during the first annual Golden Spoodle Awards ceremony. Pictured are: Chandra Shorts (Cook MS),
Shari Hall (Cy Ranch HS), Lisa Gonzales (McFee ES), Andrina Palmer (Bleyl MS), Matt Morgan (Director for Food Service),
Jane Frantzen (Labay MS), Trang Vu (Bang ES), Jackie Boonseethong accepting for Terrie Soliz (Cy Ridge HS) and Carrie
Ahlgrim (Kirk ES), Maria Ogando (M. Robinson ES). See listing of recognized schools in the May 13 edition of eConnection.
