Junior Great Gatsby Celebration
Eleventh graders enjoyed a Great Gatsby party today. Secondary English teacher, Mrs.
Stack culminates each year with this party so the students have a great memory attached to
this wonderful literary classic. Students dressed in Roaring 20s attire and some daring
students enjoyed dancing the Charleston. Students enjoyed going to all of their classes
dressed as characters from the early twentieth century. Click here to see more photos.

2015 Elementary Yearbook : Take Your Turn
Elementary yearbook staff unveiled the 2015
Elementary Yearbook Take Your Turn during a
special assembly on Wednesday. Editor-in-Chief
Jess Gollel shared her team's vision for the book
and rising Editor-in-Chief Alyssa Blakeney
announced this year's yearbook dedication to
Elementary Music Teacher, Robin Phillips.
Mrs. Phillip’s family was on hand to share in the
celebration. Mrs. Blakeney, Yearbook Advisor,
led students in a fun trivia game before
dismissing them to their classrooms where individual copies of the yearbook
were delivered.
Junior Senior Formal
Juniors and seniors from TKA’s West Palm Beach
and Clewiston campuses enjoyed the 2015 JuniorSenior Formal “Midnight Masquerade” on Saturday
night. The evening included amazing food,
fellowship, and dancing at the Mirasol Country
Club. Brittany Wallace, Junior Class President,
dedicated the evening to the senior class. Throughout the evening, the junior class Student Council
members drew names of guests who received
special gift cards from some of their favorite stores and restaurants. ! It was an

2015-2016 Ambassadors Announced
The 2015-2016 Ambassadors have been selected to
represent The King’s Academy in the upcoming
school year. These students are committed to
welcoming prospective students and families to
TKA and acting as a point of contact as the
families go through the admissions process. They
also serve at various campus events throughout the
year. Congratulations to new Ambassador Chairs:
David Williams, Emily Haine, Brittany Wallace,
Brianne Dunn, Kristi Martin, and Summer McCarty.

Landon Mediavilla - 3rd Place at Pathfinders
Congratulations to senior Landon Mediavilla for winning third
place in the Reach for Excellence category at the Pathfinder
Awards Ceremony this week. Forty-eight public and private
schools from Palm Beach and Martin counties nominated 593
students this year and each nominee was interviewed by a
panel of judges who are experts in their fields and respected
members of the community. Landon plans to attend the
University of Miami, College of Arts and Sciences, in the fall.
TKA Juniors Graduate from Leadership of PB County
TKA juniors Austin Blakeney & Atlanta Hackney graduated
from Leadership Palm Beach County last night with 46 other
high school juniors from throughout the county. The
graduation culminates 9 months spent gaining real-life
experience by having unparalleled access to leaders from
businesses, government agencies, and civic organizations.
The program coordinators encourage students to interact,
learn and reflect on their future as community leaders, and
build necessary skills, including public speaking and resumewriting to prepare them for future education and
employment. Austin was also awarded a $1000 scholarship
based on an essay and resume he submitted.

Varsity Spring Sports Awards
Last night TKA Sports Boosters hosted the
Varsity Spring Sports & Awards Night. It was
a blessing to celebrate team highlights and
individual accomplishments. Congratulations
to all of our student athletes including Matt
Tucker and Payton Campbell, recipients of this
year’s M. Nelson Loveland Male and Female
Senior Athlete Career Awards. Click here to see

HS Football Mom's Spring Clinic
Mom's got in the action at TKA's First Annual Football
Mom’s Spring Clinic last Saturday. The event was fun
-filled and action packed! Mom's proudly wore their
son's jerseys throughout the event while they
participated in a chalk talk and video introduction,
warm ups, offensive drills and fundamentals,
defensive drills, and fundamentals. The event
concluded with perfect plays, where moms lined up at
their sons positions and ran plays. Moms and athlete's alike enjoyed the event.

MS Choirs Dominate Festival Disney

Congratulations to TKA's middle school choir
students for dominating Festival Disney last
weekend, winning in all categories and bringing
home another Golden Mickey as top overall choir!
In Him Concert Choir, Combined Ladies Treble
Choir and Men's choir all performed for 3
adjudicators from Eastman School of Music,
Temple University, and University Of Southern
Miss. All three choirs received Superiors and the
highest numerical ratings of all performing
choirs. TKA was awarded “Best in Class” over all
choirs in attendance both middle and high school. Mrs. Santiago and Mr. Snyder were
also awarded Mickey trophies for repeat attendance. Students were able to enjoy a
day in the Magic Kingdom before attending the prestigious awards ceremony at
Hollywood Studios.
