McClymonds High School
S.T.E.A.M. Pathways
McClymonds High School students will create a personalized STEAM
pathway to actively contribute and advocate for their local communities.
McClymonds and its partners will use self-discovery, responsibility,
accountability, and commitment to build a network of empowered
graduates that make positive change through college and career
readiness. Students will demonstrate completion of A-G requirements,
community service, service learning, and student voice, ultimately
elevating West Oakland.
“We know that if a subject interests a student, education happens,” said
Barbara McAllister, Director of Intel’s Diversity in Technology Fund. “It’s our
job to make technology interesting. We believe hands-on, project-based
learning in the classroom and exposure to Intel role models and mentors will
make a huge difference.”
