Celebrating the Holidays Florida-style!
Celebrating the Holidays Florida-style!
We may not have snow, but
somehow we don’t believe
most of you are missing that
detail. The holidays in South
Florida can be filled with
unique traditions. Here are
just a few of our suggestions.
Food Bank
Last year you were very generous to the Treasure Coast
Food Bank and this year, they
need your help once again.
Over 500,000 pounds of the 8
million collected came from
food drives just like ours. A
collection box will be placed at
the Clubhouse from now until
December 31st. Any nonperishable items are accepted.
Let’s all enjoy the joy of giving!
The Christmas House
273 Starflower Avenue
Port St. Lucie, FL 34984
The Christmas House is the
wonderful home of JW Salveson and Jerome Sangalli, filled
with 51 Christmas Trees and
over 35,000 outdoor lights and
displays. The Christmas
House supports the WZZR
Real Radio Love Doctor’s
Children’s Charity Toy Drive.
They ask that each visitor bring
a new, unwrapped toy to enter
their home. The toys collected
are distributed to 4,000 St.
Lucie County children on December 15th. House tours are
approximately 17 minutes.
Pars For Pink Benefit
On December 10th, Pars for
Pink invites you to visit The
Christmas House from 6:00pm
to 10:00pm. Your donation of
$25.00 goes directly to benefit
Pars Fore Pink. 100% of your
donations go to Pars Fore Pink
and all volunteer, non-profit
organization, raising money
and awareness in the fight
against cancer. To register,

HOLIDAY ON ICE
2.
Fill mold with cold
water to completely
submerge fruit. Return to freezer and
freeze until solid,
about 4 hours or
overnight.
3.
To serve, dip the
bottom of the mold
into a bowl of hot
water to loosen.
Invert a plate over
mold; turn out ice
ring and transfer to
your punch bowl.
A fruit-filled ice ring will melt
more slowly than ice cubes,
which means it won’t water
down your punch!
1.
Slice 2 green pears into half
inch wedges and layer skin
side down in a 12 C bundt
or tube pan. Line side of
pan with overlapping apple
rings from 2 cored red apples. Add water to cover
pears by about half inch
(about 2 cups) and cover
about half inch up sides of
apples. Freeze until set,
about 2 hours.
Cheers!
