heart disease and want to exercise in a medically
supervised environment. There are RN’s, Respiratory
Therapists and Exercise Physiologists to help start
you on the road to wellness and get you fit for life.
Exercise with us for 3 months and get 1 month

out what is happening at Yuma Regional Medical
Center and which new events or benefits are
available to Silver Care members.
• Silver Strides Walking Club This free club allows
members to participate individually or in a group
setting. Join Silver Strides and receive a free starter
packet, which includes an exercise log book and a
pedometer. You will also receive recognition prizes
after achieving specific walking milestones. On
the third Tuesday of each month, a member of the
Cardiac Rehabilitation staff meets with the group
to share exercise tips before they walk. To sign up
for Silver Strides, call 928.336.3100 or stop by one
of the organized walks on a Tuesday morning

Coffee and Conversation Health Speakers This series offers a health presentation and a unique opportunity
have a group conversation on a specified topic. Bring your questions and enjoy complimentary coffee and a
light snack at these events. Speakers will be announced in Silver Care Calendar of Events. Advance registration
requested.

“Doc Shop” Are you looking for a local primary care physician? Look no further! This first ever event gives you the
opportunity to meet face to face with primary care physicians accepting new patients. You can decide who you
feel most comfortable and compatible with. Physicians will remain at their table and you will have time to visit
individually with each one. They will share information on their practice and you can ask questions. Event dates
will be announced in Silver Care Calendar of Events.

Hospital Tours See what is happening at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Participate in one of our scheduled
tours at the main campus, foothill campus, Yuma Regional Medical Plaza, Yuma Regional Cancer Center or Yuma
Rehabilitation Hospital. Tour dates will be announced in Silver Care Calendar of Events.

Health Screenings Receive no cost or low cost screenings at special events. Screenings will include cholesterol,
blood pressure, and others to be announced. Screening date will be announced in Silver Care Calendar of Events.

Computer Classes Brush up on your computer skills or learn something new at these free classes. Class dates

Physician Referrals Looking for a primary care physician or specialist? Call 928.336.2273 for referrals.

Silver Care Team Visits Receive a personal visit from a Silver Care Team representative when you are
hospitalized. Team members will check on you to see how your stay is going and what we can do to help make
it better. Let Patient Access know you are a Silver Care member when you are admitted into Yuma Regional
Medical Center.

Brown Bag Clinics Have a question about how the medications you are taking are interacting with other
medications? Attend one of our free medication check clinics and ask one of YRMC’s pharmacists your questions.

Drug Return Clinic Do you have outdated or unused prescription drugs that you need to dispose of? Bring
them to one of our Drug Return Clinics and we will properly dispose of them for you. Clinics will be announced
in Silver Care Calendar of Events.
