Environmental Essentials’ conceptual aim was to
become established as one of the UK’s premier asbestos
consultancies through the provision of nationwide,
customer focused asbestos management solutions.
The organisation commenced trading in 2004 as a limited
company and gained UKAS accreditation for asbestos
testing and inspection services in 2005. The development
of our services portfolio and investment in personnel has
promoted annual growth since our formation.
We continue to exceed those initial goals by ensuring
technical excellence, an innovative approach and flexible
response to client needs from each of our regional offices.

At Environmental Essentials we acknowledge that our employees are a key

Environmental Essentials employs over 200 professional employees working
from our network of regional offices, supported by a dynamic management
structure with a wealth of experience in both public and private sectors.
Our classroom training team consists of
trainers who have vast on-site experience
conducting both site inspections and
managing asbestos remediation works which is translated into their training courses,
providing invaluable practical examples and
case studies.
Our trainers hold a wide range of qualifications,
which include the relevant asbestos
proficiency qualifications, the Certificate of
Competence in Asbestos, and training
qualifications such as PTLLS (Preparing to
Teach in Lifetime Learning Sector).
They are also qualified to train in Respiratory
Equipment (RPE) use, maintenance and Face
Fitting. We offer this additional service to our
Non-Licensed Work courses or as a
standalone service.
Our E-Learning team work alongside
our Trainers to offer legislative compliant
asbestos courses.

Environmental Essentials are approved members of UKATA (United Kingdom
Asbestos Training Association) & IATP (Independent Asbestos Training
Providers). UKATA & IATP are trade associations for the training sector of the
asbestos industry, and membership with these organisations demonstrates
quality and competence of training, as well as compliance with the Control of
Asbestos Regulations.
We hold a variety of training courses in our purpose built
facilities in the Midlands, in our Regional offices and also
clients’ own premises. We have a team of dedicated
Asbestos Training Professionals based around the UK,
who have in excess of 30 years experience in the
asbestos industry.
Each of our trainers not only has a wealth of personal
experience in the asbestos industry, but also hold
teaching qualifications. This ensures that they have the
technical competence, and the skills, to provide the
creative teaching methods used in our courses,
capturing each different learning style of the delegates.
Due to the popularity of the open courses held at our
head office, we have expanded our training sites to
include each of our regional offices, allowing easier
access to our monthly held courses. In addition to the
open courses, we regularly provide training at our
clients premises, where we can also tailor the course
around individual organisational needs, to ensure that
the bespoke session delivers the maximum benefit.

Aimed at, and required by, all who wish to work on the
fabric of any premises built or refurbished before the
year 2000, and those who influence such works.
Aimed at, and required by those whose work will
knowingly disturb asbestos, such as maintenance
workers or tradesman, and their supervisors.
It does not train you how to work with asbestos, but
how to work safely on site, by recognising the likelihood
of its use, the possible health effects from exposure,
how to avoid the risks, and provides a fundamental
understanding of the Control of Asbestos Regulations
requirements.
This training teaches individuals how to safely complete
lower risk activities with asbestos containing materials.
The training is task specific, and contains both
theoretical and practical training which is customised to
your particular type of work.
