• Details of the project
• Specifications
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Allied Normandy
landings, the city of Courseulles-sur-Mer decided to mark the
main steps of the Allied attack by installing information posts
along its western shore (on Juno Beach).
• Concrete elements
Realisation of different concrete elements, body-tinted and
screen-printed:
• 14 information posts: oblique concrete forms, these are
body-tinted in a chiaroscuro of two different shades of green.
The information panels are screen-printed.
• 16 vertical and 24 horizontal benches: these are relatively
simple forms, with or without information areas. Produced in
white concrete, they can also be body-tinted in grey or green.
Some vertical benches feature touches of enamelled lava.
• 5 directional supports: in white or grey-tinted concrete.
• 10 white concrete panels: set out in a spiral shape, they
constitute the mosaic breccia figure.
Products used
• CHRYSO®Color P
• CHRYSO®Dem Aqua 10
Results
3 shades designed on demand using CHRYSO®Color P,
which has a high colouring power, and a colour that does
not affect the technical characteristics of concrete.
Exceptional facings thanks to the use of
CHRYSO®Dem Aqua 10, an aqueous emulsion
mould-release agent.
