A Sense of Christian Humility
Let’s start this reflection by saying , brothers, that Christ does not condemn the desire to be important or speak ill
of someone who wants to be first. At least that is not the purpose in today’s Gospel. Rather, it is to show wherein lies the real ‘importance’ and what is the ‘one’ to which we must aspire. Being the first to serve at times is absurd for this world that we live in, where the importance lies in who has the power, or who can give more orders,
or who receives more honor, or who has the highest number of people who serve; but not for the kingdom of
heaven. Christian humility should try to imitate Christ in action, God emptied himself and took on our human
condition. Living as a citizen of His time, he was born in a manger without means, worked in ta workshop with
his father, went to the synagogue and the temple and loved the day of the Last Supper. This is where he washed
the feet of his disciples teaching by his own action that He had come to serve and not to be served.
On the other hand, in the first reading god encourages us to change our parameters. He who does something big
is great. Greatness is not what everyone says about themselves nor force others to say, but in fact it is the reality
that lets our work speak for itself.
In the first reading, the Servant of Yahweh, is presented as a model of pain, but also as a model of fertility. And
this is what is emphasized: “We will see his offspring,”, “He will prolong his years”, and “through him will prosper the Lord’s will”. In this case there is an attitude of cowardice as Nietzsche slandered. Rather an awareness
that conscience is the price for the future and that there will be an abundance of fruit ant springs from love when
one is consistent.

Angel Tree 2015: If you would like to purchase
gifts for more than one child on the Angel
Tree this year, please consider adopting children from the same family. If you do this, you
can make sure that each child in the family
gets the same amount of gifts. Information is

Baby Bottle Boomerang
The bottles will be handed out at all the Masses
this weekend. Please fill
them with your donation and return by November 7th, 2015.
If you would like to pray for your deceased loved
one; consider enrolling them in the Saint Ann
Memorial Mass Association. The congregation
will pray for them every Wednesday for a full
year at the 9:00 AM Mass.
LECTOR NOTES: LECTOR SCHEDULES are in the
Narthex. Lectors are special liturgical ministers whose principal duty is to serve the community by proclaiming the readings from Scripture during liturgies. If you are interested in

Sacrament from 9:30 a.m. on Friday with
benediction at 5:45 PM. First Friday Mass at

de Paul Ministry in their “WALK FOR THE POOR”.
Parents are also invited to join us as the proceeds will
be used to take care of the poor who come to St. Vincent DePaul Ministry for help.

Sentido de la Humildad Cristiana
Empecemos esta reflexión diciendo, hermanos, que Cristo no condena el deseo de ser importante ni habla mal de quien
quiere tener el primer puesto. Por lo menos en el evangelio de hoy no es ese su propósito.
Más bien se trata de mostrar en dónde radica la verdadera "importancia" y cuál es el "primer puesto" al que hay que aspirar. Ser el primero en servir por momentos es absurdo para este mundo en el que vivimos actualmente, en el cual la importancia radica en quien tiene poder de dominio o quien puede dar mas ordenes o quien recibe mas honor o quien tiene
mayor número de personas que le sirvan; pero no para el Reino de los cielos. La humildad Cristiana se encamina a imitar
a Cristo en las acciones, siendo Dios se anonado a si mismo y tomo nuestra condicion humana, con lo cual vivio como un
ciudadano de su tiempo, nacio en las incomodiades de un pesebre, trabajo en el taller de su padre, fue a la sinagoga, al
templo y con amor el dia de la ultima cena lavo los pies a sus discipulos ensenando en esta accion que habia venido a servir y no a ser servido.
Por otro lado, ya en la primera lectura Dios nos empuja a cambiar nuestros parámetros. Grande es el que hace algo grande. La grandeza no está en lo que cada uno dice de sí mismo, ni en lo que obliga a otros a decir, sino en las obras, en la
realidad, en los hechos.
Por eso el Siervo de Yahvé, en la primera lectura, es presentado como un modelo de dolor, pero sobre todo como un modelo de fecundidad, y es esto lo que se enfatiza: "verá su descendencia", "prolongará sus años", "por medio de él prosperarán los designios del Señor". En ningún caso es una actitud de "el dolor por el dolor". No hay aquí una actitud de complejo ni de cobardía, como calumnió Nietzsche, sino más bien una conciencia del precio que tiene el bien futuro, y de la
inmenso fruto que brota del amor cuando es consecuente.

Formación de Fe:
RECORDATORIO: El jueves y el viernes NO ESTOY EN LA
OFICINA - ESTOS 2 DÍAS SON " MI FIN DE SEMANA”. Mis
horas de oficina son: Lunes, Martes, Miércoles de 9:00
a.m. –3:00 p.m. FAVOR, llame a mi oficina, 863-438-2700
antes de venir para asegurarse que estoy disponible. Los
estudiantes que no se han reportado a clase, tiene hasta el
10 de Octubre para hacerlo, sino tendrán que esperar hasta Septiembre del 2016. Los Padres que no tiene el calendario del 2015-16 necesitan verme lo antes posible.
Algunos Padres de Familia continúan estacionándose en
el área que no es designada para Formación de Fe. Si
usted no está seguro donde debe estacionarse, por favor
venga a mi oficina para ayudarle. Todos los Padres de familia están invitados a unirse con su niño/niños a nuestra
Misa mensual que será el sábado 17 de octubre. También
quiero aprovechar la oportunidad de invitarlos a celebrar
Misa con nosotros el tercer sábado de cada mes, espero
verles. También el sábado 17 de octubre las Damas del
Altar y el Rosario tendrán el Bazar. El estacionamiento de
la Iglesia estará un poco congestionado, por este evento,
aproveche este tiempo para ir al salón social donde tendrán el Bazar. El sábado, 24 de octubre los maestros y los
estudiantes estaremos participando en la “Caminata de los
pobres” auspiciada por la Sociedad de San Vicente de
Paul. Los Padres de familia están invitados .Todos los fondos recaudados en esta actividad será para ayudar a los
menos afortunados. Gracias Dios continúe bendiciéndole
por su generosidad y apoyo a nuestro programa de Formación de Fe.

En el Evangelio de hoy, así que Jesús los llamó y les
dijo: Como ustedes saben, los que se consideran jefes
de las naciones oprimen a los súbditos, y los altos oficiales abusan de su autoridad. Pero entre ustedes no
debe ser así. Al contrario, el que quiera hacerse grande
entre ustedes deberá ser su servidor, y el que quiera
ser el primero deberá ser esclavo de todos. Porque ni
aun el Hijo del hombre vino para que le sirvan, sino para servir y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos.
Cuando usted dona alimentos o ropa a la Sociedad de
San Vicente de Paul, usted da esperanza a sus prójimo
que no tienen nada. Usted puede ayudar trayendo alimentos enlatados al Nártex. Toda ropa donada puede
dejarla en San Vicente de Paul los lunes, miércoles y
viernes de 12:30– 2:00 p.m. Gracias.
Cuentan que un muy buen hombre vivía en el campo pero
tenía problemas físicos, cuando un día se le apareció Jesús y le dijo: "Necesito que vayas hacia aquella gran roca
de la montaña, y te pido que la empujes día y noche durante 1 año". El hombre quedó perplejo cuando escuchó
esas palabras, pero obedeció y se dirigió hacia la enorme
roca de varias toneladas que Jesús le mostró.
Empezó a empujarla con todas sus fuerzas, día tras día,
pero no conseguía moverla ni un milímetro. A las pocas
semanas llegó el diablo y le puso pensamientos en su
mente: "¿Por qué sigues obedeciendo a Jesús? Yo no seguiría a alguien que me haga trabajar tanto y sin sentido.
Debes alejarte, ya que es estúpido que sigas empujando
esa roca, nunca la vas a mover". El hombre trataba de
pedirle a Jesús que le ayudara para no dudar de su voluntad, y aunque no entendía se mantuvo en pie con su decisión de empujar.
Con los meses, desde que se ponía el sol hasta que se
ocultaba aquel hombre empujaba la enorme roca sin poder moverla, mientras tanto su cuerpo se fortalecía, sus
brazos y piernas se hicieron fuertes por el esfuerzo de
todos los días. Cuando se cumplió el tiempo el hombre
elevó una oración a Jesús y le dijo: "Ya he hecho lo que
me pediste, pero he fracasado, no pude mover la piedra ni
un centímetro" . Y se sentó a llorar amargamente pensando en su muy evidente fracaso. Jesús apareció en ese momento y le dijo:
"¿Por qué lloras? ¿Acaso no te pedí que empujaras la roca? Yo nunca te pedí que la movieras, en cambio mírate,
tu problema físico ha desaparecido. NO has fracasado, yo
he conseguido mi meta, y tú fuiste parte de mi plan".
Muchas veces al igual que este hombre, vemos como ilógicas las situaciones, problemas y adversidades de la vida, y empezamos a buscarle lógica, nuestra lógica, a la
voluntad de Dios y viene el enemigo y nos dice que no
servimos, que somos inútiles o que no podemos seguir. El
día de hoy es un llamado a "empujar" sin importar los
múltiples pensamientos de duda que ponga el enemigo en
nuestras mentes. Pongamos pues todo en las manos de
Jesús, y Él por medio de su voluntad nunca nos hará perder el tiempo, más bien, nos hará ser mas fuertes!
