he beautiful words of the prophet
Jeremiah summon listeners to
look to the future with hope. God
will bring Israel back from exile, from their
long captivity in Babylon. Notice God’s
tenderness in singling out those to whom
the Lord will give special care: the blind and
the lame, pregnant women and mothers
with their children, leading them to brooks of clear, cool
water, taking them by a level road easy to walk. Why this
case? Because God is a father to Ephraim (Israel). We see
God’s loving care at work in the healings of Jesus. Today,
blind Bartimaeus calls out, “Jesus, son of David, have pity
on me” (Mark 10:47). The crowd shushes him, but the
blind man persists. Jesus asks, “What do you want me to
do for you?” “Master, I want to see.” And notice what
Jesus says: : “Go your way; your faith has saved
you” (10:51,52). Bartimaeus saw Jesus in faith before
seeing him with his eyes. Faith opens the way for healing
and for “following Jesus on the way.” Remember, Jesus is
the high priest who intercedes for us with the Father, now
and always.
Are you in need of God’s loving care? Call out with faith,
trusting in the Lord’s saving power.

ver hacia el futuro con esperanza.
Dios traerá a Israel de vuelta del exilio, de
su largo cautiverio en Babilonia. Observe la
ternura de Dios en señalar a aquellos a
quienes el Señor dará atención especial:
los ciegos, mujeres embarazadas, cojos y
madres con sus hijos, llevándolos a arroyos de agua clara y
fresca, llevándolos por un camino llano y fácil de caminar. ¿Por
qué este caso? Porque Dios es un padre a Efraín (Israel). Vemos
el cuidado amoroso de Dios que actúa en las sanaciones de
Jesús. Hoy, el ciego Bartimeo dice en voz alta: "¡Jesús, hijo de
David, ten compasión de mí" (Marcos 10:47). La multitud lo hace
callar, pero el ciego persiste. Jesús pregunta: "¿Qué quieres que
haga por ti?" "Maestro, quiero ver" Y note lo que Jesús dice:
"Sigue tu camino; tu fe te ha salvado" (10: 51,52). Bartimeo vio a
Jesús en la fe antes de verle con los ojos. La fe abre el camino
para la sanación y para "seguir a Jesús en el camino." Recuerde,
Jesús es el sumo sacerdote que intercede por nosotros ante el

community. Together, we will follow four
seasons known as Heart to Pray, Heart to
Serve, Heart to Share and Heart to Witness.

Join us in praying the Rosary, Tuesdays at
1:30 pm in the Chapel.
The word Rosary means “Crown of Roses”. Our
Lady has revealed to several people that each time
they say a Hail Mary they are giving her a beautiful
rose and that each complete Rosary makes her a
crown of roses. The Holy Rosary is considered a
perfect prayer because within it lies the awesome
story of our salvation.

Award winning actor Ben Kingsley, this series objectively
documents Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism,
Catholicism, and Protestantism worldwide with interviews
from experts. Explore issues that probe the very core of our
existence and gain new understanding about humanity.

shaped cultures, changed history, brought us closer
together and thrust us into war.

Period” is for you! Come learn the basics of our Faith and
Tradition with other adults (aged 18 and older,
AND out of high school).
If you decide to enter into full communion with
the Catholic Church, we can assist you.

If you are a baptized Roman Catholic, 18 years and
older AND out of high school, you may prepare for
the Sacraments of Holy Communion and

SUMMER MISSION TRIP 2016
Ages: For High Schoolers
Where: Charleston, SC
When: June 14 - 19, 2016
What type of work: The actual mission work is assigned
to us as the trip gets closer but usually is painting,
helping at an elderly living facility, food pantry, or
something like that. More details as the date gets closer.
Cost:$250 (the actual cost in much higher but we are able to charge this price
because of the fundraising we'll be doing as well as other means).
Program: Alive in You (find out more at www.aliveinyou.com)
If you (or your teen) have ever considered going on a Mission trip, I highly
recommend coming to check out more information. Mission trips can be
lifetime memories and can have a huge impact on teens growing in their faith.
