1. Lecco
e le sue piazze

L’antico porto con il suo borgo...
che era anche un castello.

which was once a castle.
Da piazza Garibaldi, che ospita il neoclassico Teatro
della Società inaugurato nel 1844, volgendo lo sguardo
verso via Cavour, all’epoca “Contrada larga” per differenziarla dagli stretti e tortuosi vicoli del vecchio borgo,
si resta incantati dalla vista del Monte Due Mani. Altra
strada di interesse è via Bovara che sale con andamento
ripido dall’angolo a nord di piazza XX Settembre: fu ridisegnata dall’architetto Bovara stesso intorno al 1830.
La passeggiata a lago e nei vicoli che ogni tanto si allargano in contrade e spiazzi permette di ammirare i
monumenti dedicati ad illustri personaggi lecchesi di
nascita o d’adozione, come Antonio Stoppani, Mario
Cermenati, e Alessandro Manzoni, così come i busti in
onore di Antonio Ghislanzoni e Pietro Vassena. Dall’abbraccio dei monti San Martino, Resegone, Magnodeno,
Barro tutt’intorno, scendono fiumi e torrenti per affluire al lago fino al punto in cui ritorna fiume Adda nel
rione manzoniano di Pescarenico.
From Piazza Garibaldi, that is home to the Teatro della
Società opera house which opened in 1844, look up to Via
Cavour, once known as “Contrada Larga”, or wide street,
to distinguish it from all the winding alleys of the old
centre, and you will see the imposing limestone mass of
Monte Due Mani. Another street of interest is Via Bovara
which climbs steeply from the northern end of Piazza XX
Settembre; this was redesigned by the architect Bovara
around 1830. The lakeside promenade and the laneways
which every now and again open into courtyards and little
squares are dotted with monuments commemorating
illustrious native or adopted sons of Lecco such as Antonio
Stoppani, Mario Cermenati and Alessandro Manzoni as
well as busts in honour of Antonio Ghislanzoni and Pietro
Vassena. Rivers and streams run down from the surrounding
mountains San Martino, Resegone Magnodeno and Barro
to the lake which flows out into the River Adda again in
the Manzonian quarter of Pescarenico.

Il piccolo centro della città di Lecco si concentra attorno a tre piazze affiancate e adiacenti al lago: piazza Garibaldi, dedicata all’eroe
dei Due Mondi che qui tenne un discorso nel 1859, piazza XX
Settembre, vecchia piazza del mercato con Torre Viscontea e Palazzo delle Paure, un tempo sede della dogana e oggi nuovo polo
espositivo, infine piazza Cermenati, che fu “piazza del grano”,
punto di approdo dei comballi per il trasporto di merci, sovrastata della Basilica di San Nicolò con il suo spettacolare campanile
detto “Matitone”. Proponiamo un itinerario urbano di circa 3
km, accessibile a tutti, alla scoperta del centro storico della città.

The small historic centre of the town is concentrated around three
squares near or along the lake: Piazza Garibaldi dedicated to the
national hero who gave a speech there in 1859, Piazza XX Settembre, the old market square, with the Torre Viscontea tower and
Palazzo delle Paure which was once the Custom House and is now
an exhibition venue, and Piazza Cermenati, once the grain yard,
the arrival point for the cargo boats, the Comballi, in the shadow
of the Basilica of San Nicolò and its breathtaking tower known as
“Matitone” or Big Pencil. We suggest an urban itinerary of about
3 km accessible to all to explore the historic centre of the town.

inspired by the novel “The Betrothed” by Alessandro
Manzoni. “Risotto al pesce persico” is a rich risotto dish
with perch, a fish with a delicate, tender flesh, coated with
flour and pan-fried in butter and sage before being served
on top of the classic risotto. Lake fish in all its variations,
dried so it keeps for a long time (salted and left to dry
in the open air then packed in tins with bay leaves) or in
carpione (coated in flour, pan-fried and then marinated
with sauteed onion, carrot and celery and just enough
vinegar and wine to cover the fish). Guided “walk and
eat” food and wine tours can be organised in the centre

con una farcitura di marmellata di mirtilli. “I cioccolatini
dei Promessi Sposi: una delizia di 9 praline ispirate al romanzo manzoniano. “Risotto al pesce persico” è un piatto
ricco, dove il persico, pesce a carne morbida e delicata,
viene infarinato e fritto nel burro e salvia per essere servito
adagiato sul classico risotto. Il pesce di lago nelle sue varie
preparazioni: per essere conservato a lungo (messo sotto
sale e lasciato essiccare all’aria aperta, poi posto in contenitori di latta con foglie di alloro) o in carpione (infarinato,
fritto e successivamente marinato con un soffritto di cipolla, carota e sedano con aggiunta di aceto e vino in quantità sufficiente a ricoprire il pesce). Possibilità di organizzare

along the river Adda to the lakes of Garlate and
Olginate immersed in nature, art and history.
Un itinerario su due ruote in cui, tra cielo e acqua, l’azzurro è il colore dominante! Non resta che salire in sella e
pedalare, immersi in un’atmosfera unica, in perfetto equilibrio tra la cornice dei monti e la superficie d’acqua in cui
si specchiano. È un percorso “misto” (pista ciclabile + sterrato + breve tratto su strada) ad anello di circa 20 km, con
poco dislivello e adatto anche a ciclisti amatoriali e famiglie.

A cycle tour dominated by the blue of the water and sky!
You just have to get on your bike and ride, in a unique
atmosphere, a perfect balance between the surrounding
mountains and the surface of water in which they reflect.
This mixed (cycle path + dirt track + a short stretch along
the road) trail is a 20 km loop and almost entirely on the flat
which makes it suited to inexperienced cyclists and families.

Dal Ponte Azzone Visconti sulla riva destra dell’Adda,
ci si immette sulla pista ciclopedonale che costeggia il
fiume per arrivare a Parco “Addio Monti” di Pescate. La
pista prosegue costeggiando il lago di Garlate, dove si
incontra il Civico Museo della Seta Abegg. Si prosegue
costeggiando il lago di Olginate, si oltrepassano la diga
e il ponte, per raggiungere poi l’ex ponte ferroviario del
Lavello, riqualificato e reso ciclopedonale, che collega le
due sponde permettendo il percorso ad anello. Tappa
seguente è la chiesa del Convento di Santa Maria del
Lavello, gioiello di architettura romanica. Sulla via del
ritorno, in località Vercurago, si ammirano i resti del
Castello dell’Innominato e il Santuario di San Girolamo.
L’ultima tappa è il borgo di Pescarenico (rione di Lecco)
di manzoniana memoria, con la chiesa dell’ex Convento
dei Cappuccini e la suggestiva piazza Era, dove si può
ammirare una “Lucia”, tipica imbarcazione lariana.
Follow the route along the right bank of River Adda from
the Ponte Azzone Visconti bridge where you join the cycle
path that runs along the river as far as “Addio Monti” Park
in Pescate. The trail continues along the lakeshore in Garlate
where you will find the Abegg Silk Museum. Continue to
Olginate past the dam and the bridge till you reach what
was once the railway bridge in Lavello and has now been
turned into a pedestrian and cycle bridge which crosses the
river making the loop possible. The next stop is the Convent
of Santa Maria del Lavello, a gem of Romanesque architecture. Continue along the road back towards Lecco and in
Vercurago stop to admire the ruins of the Castle of the Innominato and Sanctuary of San Girolamo. The final stage is the
district of Pescarenico mentioned in Manzoni’s novel “The
Betrothed” with the church of what used to be the Convent
of the Capuchin Friars and picturesque Piazza Era where you
will come across a “Lucia”, a traditional Lake boat.

Cycling along this route requires due caution, particularly
in the mixed sections, but the itinerary is sure to be a

From May to September “Lucia regattas” the typical boats
of Lake Como in a rowing competition along the lakeshore
involving the teams of Lecco and surrounding towns. June
“50 km along the Adda” a competitive and non-competitive
race on foot from Lecco to Cassano d’Adda along the
banks of the river. July “Sagra de Pescarenech” traditional
local festival in Pescarenico with a historic contest between
the different streets and a chance to taste local specialities.
September Garlate, second weekend of the month, “Festa
delle corti” arts and crafts, entertainment, puppets, folk
songs and local food and wine in the courtyards of the
town, grand finale with firework display.

imbarcazioni lariane si sfidano a colpi di remi lungo le
rive del lago, fra le quali: Lecco, Calolziocorte, Garlate,
Olginate, Pescate, Vercurago. Giugno “50 Km lungo
l’Adda” manifestazione podistica da Lecco a Cassano d’Adda, su percorso lungo il fiume Adda. Luglio
“Sagra de Pescarenech” tradizionale sagra a Pescarenico con Palio delle Contrade e degustazione sapori locali.
Settembre “Festa delle corti”, secondo fine settimana
a Garlate, momenti di arte, artigianato, intrattenimento,
burattini, canti popolari e gastronomia nelle tipiche corti

3. Lecco,
vivere la montagna

Alle spalle della città di Lecco una funivia porta in soli 5 minuti ai Piani d’Erna (1300 m s.l.m.), balcone naturale posto
ai piedi del Resegone. L’area offre molteplici possibilità di
trekking, un panorama mozzafiato, rifugi e punti di ristoro.
È attivo inoltre un parco avventura con percorsi sugli alberi,
ponti tibetani e arrampicate per il divertimento dei più piccoli, ma non solo. Durante la stagione invernale, invece, la neve
che cade abbondante permette il divertimento assoluto per
discese con bob e slittini ed escursioni con le ciaspole.
Behind the city of Lecco a 5-minute cable car ride takes
you to Piani d’Erna (1300 metres a.s.l.), a stunning
viewpoint at the foot of the Resegone. The area
offers a multitude of hiking trails, breathtaking views,
mountains refuges and stops for food and drink. There
is also an adventure park for tarzaning among the trees,
Tibetan bridges, and fun climbing activities for all ages.
During the winter season, the heavy snowfall provides
ideal conditions for bobsledding and snowshoe hikes.

Lecco è conosciuta nel mondo per le sue splendide montagne e per l’imbattibile capacità dei lecchesi di “conquistarle” con destrezza e coraggio. Dominata dal contrafforte delle Grigne, del San Martino e dall’inconfondibile
cresta del Resegone, Lecco è stata insignita nel 2013 del
titolo di Città Alpina. Un legame indissolubile, rimarcato
anche nella storia dell’alpinismo mondiale grazie alle memorabili imprese di grandi alpinisti come Riccardo Cassin
e Carlo Mauri. La montagna lecchese offre tracciati di diverso grado e difficoltà. In poco tempo si raggiungono i
Piani d’Erna, autentico balcone panoramico sulla città.
Lecco is known the world over for its magnificent mountains and the courage and dexterity with which the locals
succeed in “conquering” them. Overlooked by the spur of
the Grigne, by Mount San Martino, and by the unmistakable ridge of Mount Resegone, in 2013 Lecco was awarded the title of Alpine City. It is a deep and lasting bond as
can be seen from the annals of mountaineering and the
exploits of men such as Riccardo Cassin and Carlo Mauri.
The mountain behind Lecco offers tracks of different level of difficulty. In a short time you can reach Piani d’Erna, a natural terrace offering great view over the city.
At Piani d’Erna and along the paths marked here you can
stop off at refuges and huts to taste traditional local food.
Don’t miss: the cheese made in the alpine pastures.

lakeshore and goes to the summit of the Resegone and
back. July on the first Sunday “Assalto al Resegone”
(Assault on Resegone) a traditional hike to the Rifugio
Azzone at the top of Resegone open to all from a number
of different starting points at its foot.
Maggio “Monti e Sorgenti”. Giugno primo sabato“Resegup”: gara di corsa in montagna che parte dal centro
di Lecco per giungere in vetta del Resegone e ritorno.
Luglio prima domenica “Assalto al Resegone” storica
manifestazione escursionistica aperta a tutti che consiste
nel raggiungere il Rifugio Azzoni in vetta al Resegone,
partendo da varie località a valle.

Dalla sponda di Malgrate, costellata da ville, si gode la
vista più bella della città con la corona dei monti, tra
cui il Resegone e il San Martino. Da questi luoghi, Alessandro Manzoni, trasse ispirazione per le vicende de I
Promessi Sposi. Dopo la ventosa baia di Parè, il Monte Moregallo sembra veramente sorgente dalle acque,
mentre l’imbarcazione punta verso nord tra sponde e
belle spiagge di sabbia e ghiaia. Abbadia Lariana, con
il Civico Museo della Seta Monti, e Mandello del Lario,
sede della Moto Guzzi sono dominate dal gruppo delle
Grigne. Sul versante opposto Onno, Vassena e Limonta,
riunite in Oliveto Lario, che ricorda la coltura dell’ulivo.
A Lierna il promontorio di Castello suddivide Riva Bianca
e Riva Nera. A Bellagio, “perla del Lario”, s’innalzano le
rocce a strapiombo del promontorio che divide il Lario
in due rami. Di fronte Fiumelatte, dalle acque bianche
di schiuma, e i giardini lussureggianti di Villa Monastero
e Villa Cipressi introducono alla seconda “perla”: Varenna. Borgo a forma piramidale, protetto dalla rocca e dal
castello medievale di Vezio.
Vivere il lago dal lago, cogliere l’unicità di un paesaggio
così suggestivo, dove l’acqua è l’elemento assoluto e i colori
delle stagioni regalano scenari sempre diversi. L’itinerario è
pensato in battello, con alcune soste per addentrarsi nei
borghi più caratteristici. La navigazione inizia nel golfo di
Lecco per risalire il ramo orientale fino al centro lago; il ritorno nel capoluogo può avvenire ancora in battello o in treno.

of this landscape where water is the utmost element and the
colours and landscape change with the seasons. This is an
itinerary to follow by boat with stopoffs to explore the most
interesting villages. Depart from the Gulf of Lecco and travel
up the eastern branch of Lake Como as far as the central
lake area. You can return to Lecco either by boat or by train.

From the shores of Malgrate, dotted with fine villas, there
is the finest view of Lecco with its crown of mountains including Resegone and San Martino. It was these places that
inspired Alessandro Manzoni for the adventures in his novel The Betrothed. Mount Moregallo rises on the other side
of the windy bay of Parè, truly appearing as Manzoni said
to rise from the waters. Now the boat heads northwards,
from shore to shore with their lovely sand and pebble beaches. The Grigne mountains rear up behind Abbadia Lariana, where there is the Monti Silk Museum, and Mandello
del Lario, home to the Moto Guzzi motorcycle factory. On
the opposite shore, Onno, Vassena and Limonta are joined
under a single town called Oliveto Lario in memory of the
tradition of olive growing. In Lierna, the promontory of
Castello separates Riva Bianca from Riva Nera. In Bellagio,
“the pearl of Lake Como”, the cliffs divide the lake into two
branches. On the opposite shore, the foaming white waters
of Fiumelatte and the lush gardens of Villa Monastero and
Villa Cipressi lead into Varenna, the second “pearl”, a village rising up like a pyramid from the water beneath the rock
and medieval fortress of Vezio.

suggestivi sfondi della Gioconda, della Madonna e Sant’Anna, della Vergine delle Rocce…Il tema di Expo 2015 “Nutrire il

GIORNO 1: Il percorso turistico ha inizio dalla Diga di Paderno d’Adda. Risalendo di poco il fiume verso Nord, si giunge
al Sasso di San Michele e al famoso Ponte di Rothlisberger
a Paderno d’Adda, ponte di ferro a singola campata posto a circa 80 m sopra il letto del fiume. Continuando sulla
strada sterrata, s’incontra una prima centrale idroelettrica
La Semenza, una seconda centrale idroelettrica Esterle che
riceve le acque del canale Edison alimentato dalla diga di
Robbiate. Si giunge quindi a Imbersago dove è possibile
imbarcarsi sul traghetto leonardesco oppure su “Addarella” per una vista del territorio dal fiume. GIORNO 2: A
Lecco si può ammirare il Ponte Azzone Visconti, che alcune
interpretazioni riconoscerebbero addirittura sullo sfondo
della Gioconda, nel curioso ponticello dalle tipiche arcate
di misura variabile, di architettura diversa dai ponti toscani.
In Valsassina Leonardo venne più volte per visitare le miniere di argento e ferro, nonché per un progetto di ristrutturazione della Rocca di Bajedo su ordine di Ludovico il Moro.
Da Esino Lario, località Cainallo, è possibile raggiungere a
piedi la Ghiacciaia del Moncodeno (sentiero 25 – tempo di
percorrenza 1h 15min). Lasciando la Valsassina si ritorna sul
lago, per raggiungere, a 20 minuti dal centro di Varenna,
la sorgente del Fiumelatte, che Leonardo descrisse per la
particolare brevità del corso e per l’assordante rumore.
DAY 1: The tour begins at the dam of Paderno d’Adda.
Head upriver to the North as far as Sasso San Michele and
the famous Ponte Rothlisberger bridge in Paderno d’Adda,
a single arch iron bridge about 80 metres above the river
bed. Continue along the dirt road as far as the first hydroelectric power plant, La Semenza, and a second one, Esterle,
powered by the water of the Edison canal which is fed by
the Robbiate dam. You then come to Imbersago where you
can take Leonardo’s ferry or board the “Addarella” to see
the area from the river. DAY 2: In Lecco you can enjoy the
view of the Ponte Azzone Visconti, believed to be depicted
in the background of the Mona Lisa, a bridge with different sizes arches, so different from those usually built in
Turscany at that time. Leonardo came to Valsassina on a
number of occasions to visit the silver and iron mines as
well as for the reconstruction of the stronghold Rocca di
Bajedo on the orders of Ludovico il Moro. From Cainallo,
above Esino Lario, you can hike to cave Ghiacciaia di Moncodeno (trail no. 25 – about 1 hour 15 minutes). From Valsassina we return to the lake and just outside Varenna you
can visit the Fiumelatte stream mentioned by Leonardo
because of its short river course and the deafening sound
of its waters.

Da Milano alla Svizzera nella natura
Partendo dalla stazione ferroviaria di Osnago, si percorre il
Sentierone (35km – 600m di dislivello) che ci conduce con
un continuo saliscendi attraverso il cuore della Brianza: dalla collina di Montevecchia, si risalgono le pendici del Monte
di Brianza e, percorrendo la lunga dorsale del San Genesio,
si scende a Galbiate per poi percorrere il periplo del Monte Barro e giungere in centro a Lecco. Giunti a Lecco vi
suggeriamo di percorrere la tratta Lecco-Abbadia Lariana
con un mezzo di trasporto pubblico per poi riprendere la
camminata lungo il Sentiero del Viandante (50,4 km – 630
di dislivello) dalla chiesa di San Martino ripercorrendo l’antica via di comunicazione che risale a mezzacosta il Lago di
Como fino a Colico con la possibilità ulteriore di proseguire
fino a Sorico (CO) per connettersi con gli altri sentieri del
progetto Interreg “Antiche vie di comunicazione tra Italia
e Svizzera” (www.leviedelviandante.it).
From Osnago railway station follow the Sentierone (35
km – 600 metres ascent) which winds uphill and down
dale through the heart of Brianza: from the hilltop of
Montevecchia head up the slopes of Monte di Brianza
and the long ridge of San Genesio before coming down
to Galbiate to loop around Monte Barro and come to the
centre of Lecco. Once you reach Lecco we recommend you
take public transport as far as Abbadia Lariana to rejoin the
Viandante and walk (50.4 km – 630 metres ascent) from the
church of San Martino along the ancient communications
route which winds along the mid-mountainside on Lake
Como as far as Colico with the possibility of going on to
Sorico (CO) to hook up with other trails which are part of
the interregional network of ancient trails between Italy

Considerando che il percorso è da svolgersi in più giorni,
è sconsigliato a famiglie con bambini che non abbiano un grado di allenamento tale da affrontare

Die kleine Altstadt umgibt drei Plätze, die nebeneinander und
neben dem See liegen: der dem sogenannten „Helden der
zwei Welten“ Giuseppe Garibaldi - der 1859 hier eine Rede
hielt - gewidmete Garibaldiplatz; XX Septemberplatz, der alte
Marktplatz, mit dem Visconti-Turm und dem „Palast der Ängste“,
der einst das Hauptquartier der Zoll war- und ist heute ein Zentrum
für Veranstaltungen und Ausstellungen; Cermenatiplatz, der einst
Kornplatz und Ankunftszentrum von Waren und Frachtschiffe
(die Comballi) war. Über dem Platz steht die Kirche St. Nikolaus,
mit ihrer spektakulären Glockenturm (der sogenannte „GroßeBleistift“). Wir schlagen Sie diesen leichten Spaziergang von
etwas 3 km vor, unterwegs zur Entdeckung der Altstadt.

Le petit centre-ville de Lecco est concentré autour de trois places
l’une à côté de l’autre et presque au bord du lac: la place Garibaldi est
dédiée au “héros des deux mondes”, c’est-à-dire Giuseppe Garibaldi,
qui a tenu ici un célèbre discours en 1859; la place du XX Settembre
est l’ancienne place du marché, avec la Torre (Tour) Viscontea et le
palais dit “delle Paure“ (des Peurs), où se trouvait la douane, qui
est aujourd’hui un nouveau centre d’exposition et, encore, la place
Cermenati, qui fut la “place du grain”, où arrivaient les bateaux
pour le transport des marchandises: cette place est dominée par
la Basilique de San Nicolò, avec son magnifique campanile dit
«Matitone», qui signifie “grand crayon”,en raison de sa forme.
Nous vous proposons un tour en ville de 3 km environ, accessible
à tout le monde, pour découvrir le centre historique de Lecco.

In Garibaldiplatz ist das neoklassizistische 1844
eingeweihte Teatro Della Società. Von hier, mit Blick
nach oben auf Cavourstraße, die einst “das breite Land“
benannt wurde, um diese von den engen Gassen des
alten Dorfes zu unterscheiden, können Sie auch den
spektakulären Berg “Zwei Händen” bewundern.
Ein sehr charakteristischer Weg ist die steile Bovarastraße,
die aus dem Norden von XX Septemberplatz steigt. Diese
Straße wurde von dem Architekten Bovara 1830 neu
gestaltet. Während des Spaziergangs dem See und den
Gassen entlang, die an kleine Ortschaften und Plätze
führen, können Sie Denkmäler von berühmten Bürger
der Vergangenheit von Lecco bewundern, u.a. Antonio
Stoppani, Alessandro Manzoni, Mario Cermenati, Antonio
Ghislanzoni und Pietro Vassena. Die Berge San Martino,
Resegone, Magnodeno und Barro umarmen die Stadt.
Aus diesen Bergen Flüsse und Wildbäche fließen in See bis
in den Punkt, wo der See dem Fluß Adda wiederkommt,
bei der manzonianischen Ortschaft Pescarenico.

Della Società, inauguré en 1844 et, le regard vers la Via
Cavour, dite à l’époque “Contrada Larga” pour la distinguer
des ruelles étroites et tortueuses du vieux bourg, on est ravis
par la vue du mont Due Mani.
Un autre rue très intéressante est Via Bovara, qui monte assez
tortueuse et en pente à partir du coin au nord de la place du
XX Settembre: elle a été réaménagée, par l’architecte Bovara,
vers 1830. La promenade au bord du lac et dans le petites
rues, qui parfois s’ouvrent et deviennent de petites places,
permet d’admirer les monuments dédiés aux personnages
célèbres de Lecco, qu’ils soient nés ici, ou d’adoption, comme
Antonio Stoppani, Mario Cermenati, Alessandro Manzoni
et aussi les bustes en l’honneur d’Antonio Ghislanzoni et de
Pietro Vassena. Descendant du cirque des montagnes qui
encadrent la ville - San Martino, Resegone, Magnodeno et
Barro - des ruisseaux et de petites rivières se jettent dans le
lac: leurs eaux se retrouvent dans la rivière Adda qui reprend
son cours près du quartier “manzonien“ de Pescarenico.

À ne pas manquer: “Torta Resegone” une tarte avec de la
farine de maïs et de sarrasin (blé noir) mélangés, du beurre
et des œufs, avec de la confiture de myrtilles. Les “Petits
chocolats des Promessi Sposi“: un délice de neuf pralines
inspirés du roman d’Alessandro Manzoni.
“Risotto al pesce persico“ un plat riche, où le persico, poisson
délicat, est passé dans la farine, frit dans le beurre avec de la
sauge et servi sur le classique risotto. Le poisson du lac dans
toutes ses variétés: pour être conservé longtemps (mis en sel
et séché à l’air, après mis dans des boites de fer-blanc avec
des feuilles de laurier) ou “In carpione“ (passé dans la farine,
frit et après “Mariné“ dans une sauce d’oignon, carottes,
céleri et vinaigre. Dégustations guidées sur demande

Verpassen Sie nicht: ”Resegone” Torte: Mischung aus
Maismehl, Buchweizen, Butter und Eier, mit einer Füllung aus
Blaubeermarmelade. Die “Verlobtenpraline“, eine aus neun
Praline von dem Manzoni Roman inspirierte Köstlichkeit.
“Risotto“ mit Barsch: sehr nahrhaftes Gericht. Der Barsch,
deren Fleisch ist weich und zart, wird mit Mehl, Butter und
Salbei gebraten und mit dem typischen Risotto aufgetragen.
Seefisch: in verschiedenen Zubereitungen, der Fisch wird
getrocknet, um ihn für eine lange Zeit aufbewahren zu
können, und dann in Salz gelegt und an der Luft getrocknet;
schließlich mit Bucht im Weißblechgebinde gelegt. Eine
verschiedene Seefischvorbereitung ist der sogenannte Fisch “In
carpione” d.h., der Fisch wird mit Mehl gebraten und dann mit
gebratenen Zwiebeln, Karotten und Sellerie mariniert. Dann
sind Essig und Wein hinzufugen. Produzenten: “Resegone

Produzent ist Ceko der Fischer, in Ortschaft Pescarenico.

weltbekannt ist, der Radweg führt an das Ufer des
Flusses Adda, bis an die Garlate- und Olginateseen
Pédaler de la ville des Promessi Sposi (Les Fiancés)
entre nature, art et histoire, au bord de la rivière
Adda, jusqu’aux lacs de Garlate et Olginate
Radweg zwischen dem blauen Himmel und den Seen: ein

eau, le bleu est la couleur dominante! Vous n’avez qu’à
enfourcher votre vélo, dans une atmosphère unique, un

C’est un chemin “mixte” (piste cyclable + chemin de terre +

Von der Brücke Azzone Visconti (Stadtmitte) der Radweg
folgt den Addaflußlauf bis zum Pescate Park “Addio Monti“
(Behüt euch Gott, ihr Berge... A. Manzoni, “Die Verlobten“)
dann führt dem Garlatesee entlang an das Seidestadtmuseum
Abegg. Der Weg führt weiter dem Olginatesee entlang, dann
überschreitet den Damm und die Brücke. Dann kommt man
auf die auf Radweg angestellte Lavello-Eisenbahnbrücke, die
beide Ufer des Sees verbindet.
Die nächste Rast der Route ist die Kirche des Klosters von Santa
Maria del Lavello. Die Kirche ist eine Juwel der romanischen
Kunst. Auf dem Weg zurück, in Vercurago, kann man die
Reste des Schlosses von dem “Ungenannten“ (eine Hauptfigur
des Romans “Die Verlobten“) und die Wallfahrtskirche des
Heiligen Hieronymus bewundern. Die letzte Rast ist das Dorf
Pescarenico – von dem Alessandro Manzoni in seinem schon
zitierten Roman “Die Verlobten“ schrieb. Hier ist auch das
ehemalige Kapuzinerkloster und der schöne Eraplatz. Hier
können Sie ein typisches Boot namens “Lucia“ bewundern.
À partir du pont Azzone Visconti sur la rive droite de
l’Adda, suivre la piste pour piétons et cyclistes qui longe la
rivière et arrive au parc Addio Monti à Pescate. Le parcours
continue le long du lac de Garlate, jusqu’ au Musée Civique
de la Soie Abegg. On peut continuer le long du lac de
Olginate, traverser le barrage et le pont, puis rejoindre
l’ancien pont de chemin de fer du Lavello, renouvelé et
devenu piéton et cyclable, qui enjambe les deux côtés en
permettant de compléter l’anneau. L’étape suivante est
l’église du couvent de Santa Maria del Lavello, vrai bijou
de l’architecture romane. Sur le chemin du retour, dans la
localité Vercurago, vous pourrez admirer les vestiges du
château de l’Innominato et le Sanctuaire de San Girolamo.
Le dernier arrêt est le village de Pescarenico (quartier de
Lecco), mentionné dans le roman de Manzoni Les Fiancés
et lié à la tradition littéraire: on peut y admirer l’église de
l’ancien couvent des Capucins et la charmante Piazza Era, où
vous pourrez admirer une “Lucia”, un bateau typique du lac.

bis zehn Jahren. Besichtigung auf den landwirtschaftlichen
Betrieb von Anghileri Maria Ida “Il Ronco”. Besichtigung auf
den Bauernhof “Da Simone”, von Rossi Simone. Besichtigung
im Auto (ein altes Fiat Mickey Mouse 1954) auf die Tiere des
Bauernhofs von Fiorini Vincenzo Agridechirico.
Tour particulièrement conseillé pour les familles, les écoles et

Hinter der Stadt Lecco, ein Seilbahn führt zu “Piani dell’ Erna“,
eine natürliche Terrasse an Fußen des Berges Resegone. Die
Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, mit
einer erstaunlichen Landschaft, Bergshütten und Erfrischungzentern. Es gibt auch ein Naturpark, mit Wanderwegen
auf Bäumen, tibetischen Brücken und Klettern, für die
Unterhaltung von Kindern und Erwachsenen.
Im Winter fällt reichlich Schnee, und kann man Wintersport
mit Bob- und Rodeln oder Schneeschuhwanderungen
ausüben.
Derrière la ville de Lecco, un téléphérique conduit en
5 minutes aux Piani d’Erna (1300 m d’altitude), balcon
naturel au pied du mont Resegone. La localité offre de
nombreuses possibilités de randonnée, des paysages
à couper le souffle, des abris et des petits restaurants.
On y trouve également un parcours aventure avec des
chemins en hauteur sur les arbres, des ponts tibetains
et des montées verticales pour le divertissement des
enfants, mais ce n‘est pas tout. Pendant l’hiver, la neige
qui tombe en abondance offre le plaisir absolu pour les
amants de la luges et des raquettes.

différents scénarios. L’itinéraire est proposé en bateau,

les plus caractéristiques. La navigation commence
dans le golfe de Lecco pour remonter la branche
orientale jusqu’au centre du Lac de Côme; le retour
dans la ville peut avoir lieu soit en bateau soit en train.

Aus den Ufern von Malgrate, mit ihren Villen, können
Sie das schönste Blick auf die Stadt mit der Bergkrone
- u.a. Resegone und San Martino- bewundern. Diese
Orte inspirierten Alessandro Manzoni für die Geschichte
seines weltbekannten Romans “Die Verlobten“. Nach
dem windigen Dorf von Pare, der Berg Moregallo scheint
wirklich aus dem Wasser zu springen, während das
Fährschiff sich zum Norden zwischen Banken und schöne
Strände aus Sand und Kies wendet. Abbadia Lariana, mit
das Seidestadtmuseum “Monti“ und Mandello del Lario,
mit der Industrie “Moto Guzzi“ sind von der “Grigne“
Bergruppe beherrscht. Auf dem gegenüberliegenden
Ufer sind Onno, Vassena und Limonta in der Stadt Oliveto
Lario gesammelt, deren Name sich auf den Olivenanbau
bezieht. In Lierna das Kap von Castello trennt Rivabianca
von Rivanera. Aus Bellagio, “Perle des Sees“, erhebt sich
der überhängende Fels des Kaps, das den See in zwei Ärme
teilt. Gegenüber Bellagio, liegt Fiumelatte, mit seinen
Wildwassern aus weiße Schaum, und die üppigen Gärten
von Villa Monastero und Villa Cipressi, die in die zweite
“Perle” einführen : Varenna, ein von der Festung und dem
Schloß von Vezio geschütztes pyramidenförmiges Dorf.
Du côté de Malgrate, parsemé de villas, vous pouvez
profiter de la meilleure vue de la ville avec la couronne
des montagnes, y compris le Resegone et le San Martino.
De ces lieux, Alessandro Manzoni a puisé son inspiration
pour son roman Les Fiancés. Après la baie venteuse de
Paré, le mont Moregallo s’élève comme s’il sortait de
l’eau ; en même temps notre bateau continue son tour
en direction du nord, en suivant de belles plages de sable
et de galets. Abbadia Lariana, avec son Musée Civique
de la Soie “Monti” et Mandello del Lario avec la Maison
de la Moto Guzzi, sont dominés par le groupe montueux
des Grigne; sur le côté opposé Onno, Vassena et Limonta,
réunis dans la Commune de Oliveto Lario, qui nous
rappelle la culture des oliviers. À Lierna le promontoire
de Castello divise Riva Bianca et Riva Nera. À Bellagio,
“perle du lac”, se dressent les rochers surplombant le
promontoire qui divise le lac en deux branches. Sur
la rive opposée Fiumelatte et la mousse de ses eaux
blanches et les jardins luxuriants de la Villa Monastero
et de la Villa Cipressi, qui nous présentent la seconde
“perle”, Varenna. Ce village en forme de pyramide est
protégé par la forteresse et le château de Vezio.

„Mona Lisa“, „Jungfrau Maria und St. Anne“, „Jungfrau

Energie für das Leben“ bietet uns die Möglichkeit, das Wasser
neu anzudenken, als ein ideales rotes Faden um, durch die
kulturelle und geistliche Erbschaft von Leonardo jene Orte, die
ihn faszinierten, wieder zu entdecken.

TAG 1: Die Route startet aus dem Damm in Paderno d’Adda. Geht man zurück dem kleinen Fluß entlang nach
Norden, dann kommt man nach “Sasso San Michele“ und
der berühmten Brücke von Rothlisberger an, in Paderno
d’Adda. Diese Brücke ist eine Eisenbrücke, ungefähr 80mt.
über dem Flußbett. Weiter auf Schotterstraße, findet man
ein erstes Wasserkraftwerk, “Die Semenza“, und dann ein
zweites Wasserkraftwerk, “Esterle“, das die Wässer des durch den Damm Robbiate angetriebenen Kanal Edison erhält.
Dann kommt man nach Imbersago an, wo man sich auf das
Fährschiff von Leonardo oder auf das “Addarella“ einschiffen kann. TAG 2: In Lecco können Sie die Brücke Azzone
Visconti bewundern, die der Meinung vielen kunsthistorischen Gelehrten nach der Hintergrund von dem Leonardo
Bild “Mona Lisa“ wäre, wegen der typischen und sich im
Vergleich zu den Toskanischen in Maße unterscheidenden
Brückenbögen. In der Tat, Leonardo kam mehrmals nach
Valsassina, um die Silber- und Eisenminen zu besuchen, aber
auch für ein Sanierungsprojekt der Felsen von Bajedo. Das
Projekt wurde ihm von Lodovico Il Moro in Auftrag gegeben. Aus Esino Lario, Cainallo, kann man zu Fuß den Moncodenoeiskeller erreichen (Weg Nr. 25 - ca. 1 Stunde 15 Minuten). Von Valsassina kommt man nach See zurück, um, in
der Nähe Varenna, die Fiumelattequelle zu besichtigen. Die
Quelle wurde von Leonardo erwähnt, wegen ihres kurzen
Flußlaufes und des ohrenbetäubenden Lärm ihrer Wässer.
DAY 1: Le parcours touristique commence au barrage
de Paderno d’Adda. En suivant la rivière en direction du
nord, nous arrivons au Sasso di San Michele et au célèbre
pont de Rothlisberger à Paderno d’Adda, pont de fer à
travée unique, 80 m. environ au-dessus du lit de la rivière.
En continuant sur le chemin de terre, nous trouvons une
première centrale hydroélectrique, Le Semenza, une
deuxième usine hydroélectrique, Esterle, qui reçoit les eaux
du canal Edison alimenté par le barrage de Robbiate. Vous
arrivez enfin à Imbersago où vous pourrez expérimenter le
ferry “Traghetto di Leonardo“ ou le bateau “Addarella”
pour visiter les lieux depuis la rivière. JOUR 2: A Lecco, vous
pouvez admirer le pont Azzone Visconti, que certaines
interprétations reconnaissent dans l’arrière-plan de La
Monna Lisa, dans le curieux petit pont dont les voutes ont
des degrés divers, à l’architecture si différente des ponts de
Toscane. En Valsassina, Léonard est venu plusieurs fois pour
visiter les mines d’argent et de fer, ainsi que pour un projet
de rénovation de la Rocca di Bajedo voulue par Ludovico il
Moro. À partir de Esino Lario, près de la localité Cainallo,
vous pouvez atteindre à pied la Ghiacciaia (Glacière) de
Moncodeno (piste 25 – temps 1h 15min). On redescend
sur le lac pour arriver, à 20 minutes du centre de Varenna,
à la source du Fiumelatte que Leonardo a décrit pour la
brièveté de son cours et pour son bruit assourdissant.

Erleben Sie auf eine neue Weise das Gebiet von Lecco: durch
einen einzigen langen Wanderweg es zu Fuß durchlaufen,
gegebenenfalls mit Hilfe von öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln,
von Brianza bis Hochcomersee. Von hier kann man über
die Grenze zwischen Italien und Schweiz weitergehen.
On veut proposer une nouvelle approche de la région de Lecco,
l’occasion de la traverser à pied, comme une longue marche et
un chemin unique, éventuellement à l’aide des transports publics,
de la Brianza à la branche nord du lac. De là, le chemin peut
encore continuer au-delà de la frontière entre l’Italie et la Suisse.

Von Bahnhof Osnago, folgen Sie den “Sentierone“
(35km - 600 m Höhe), welcher an das Herz von Brianza
führt. Dann, von dem Hügel von Montevecchia,
klettern Sie auf den Hang von Monte di Brianza und,
der langen Kette des San Genesioberges entlang, Sie
kommen in Galbiate an und dann, der Umrundung
des Berges Monte Barro entlang, erreichen Sie
endlich die Stadtmitte Lecco. Von hier ab empfehlen
wir Ihnen die Strecke Lecco-Abbadia Lariana mit
öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zurückzulegen, um von
der San Martinokirche den Wanderweg – il Sentiero
del Viandante (50.4 km – 630 Höhe) weiterzugehen:
d.h., der alte Weg, welcher von Comersee nach
Colico führt. Es gibt auch die zusätzliche Möglichkeit,
weiterhin bis Sorico (CO) zu gehen, um die anderen
Wege des Interreg-Projekts: “Alte Routen zwischen
Italien und Schweiz” (www.leviedelviandante.it) zu
erreichen.
A partir de la gare d’Osnago, vous empruntez le Sentierone (35
km - 600 m. de dénivellation) qui vous conduit par un parcours
en montées et descentes, à travers le cœur de la Brianza : de la
colline de Montevecchia, nous montons le long des pentes du
Monte di Brianza et, en parcourant la longue crête du mont
San Genesio, nous descendons à Galbiate et nous suivons une
sorte d’anneau autour du Monte Barro pour arriver enfin en
centre ville de Lecco. Une fois à Lecco on suggère de choisir,
pour la partie de route entre Lecco et Abbadia Lariana, un
moyen de transport public et de reprendre ensuite la marche
en suivant le Sentiero del Viandante (50,4 km – 630 m. de
dénivellation) de l’église de San Martino, retraçant l’ancienne
route de communication qui suit la côte orientale du Lac de
Côme jusqu’à Colico. D’ici il y a la possibilité supplémentaire
de poursuivre le chemin jusqu’à Sorico (CO) et de se connecter
avec d’autres sentiers récemment rétablis, grâce au projet
Interreg, sur les “anciennes routes entre l’Italie et la Suisse“
(www.leviedelviandante.it).

Der Wanderweg ist nicht für Familien mit Kindern
geeignet, die nicht gewöhnt sind, lange Reisen in den
Bergen zu Fuß anzutreten. Sie können die kürzeren
Wege zurücklegen. Auf dem Weg gibt es verschiedene
Erziehungvorschläge für Kinder; insbesondere im Park
Monte Barro: die Entdeckung von Flora und Fauna, die
Geschichte, von Römern bis Goten, das “Alta Brianza“
Völkerkundemuseum. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit, in
Park zu übernachten (www.eliante.it,

Le chemin durant plusieurs jours, il n’est pas trop
recommandé pour les familles avec enfants ne possédant
pas un niveau de préparation pour ces longs parcours.
Vous pourrez le parcourir en étapes plus courtes. Il est à
noter que le long du chemin il existe diverses propositions
pédagogiques. Pour les enfants en particulier, dans
le parc Monte Barro, où l’on trouve de nombreuses
activités: la découverte de la flore et de la faune, de
l’histoire des Romains aux Goths, pour terminer avec
la visite au Musée ethnographique de la Haute Brianza.
