Initiate Sample – “How To” Checklist
October 16, 2013
Search a Sample
1.
Click on Search button.
2.
On Filter Option screen, enter any of the following values to filter an existing Sample.
a.
Sample Initiated By – User who entered the Sample
b.
Sample Initiated Date - Date the sample header was populated by the user
c.
Last Updated By - User who last modified the Sample Header.
d.
Last Updated On - Date the Sample Header was last modified.
e.
Sample Status – Logged, Submitted for testing, Pending Finalization, Finalized and Finalized – No Comparison Needed.
f.
Sampled By

Click on Search button.
4.
Select a Sample from the list.

Go to Sample
1.
Type a sample Id you want to search.
2.
System will display a list of Sample Id’s.
3.
Select one.

Create Sample Login
1.
Click on Create Sample Login
2.
On Material Information Section, enter the below required information.
a.
Category – Defaults to Project, but can be changed.
b.
Contract – (If project ID entered then the Contract ID auto populates)
c.
Projects – 409001-2-52-01: SR 30 (US 98) @ 72ND AVE INTERSECTION FAST RESPONSE PROJECT
d.
Pay Items –0400 4 1, 0400 4 2, 0400 4 4, 0400 4 5
Comment: (required when Contract/Project number entered)

Material - 346
f.
MAC Spec – (user selects from the list of MAC specs relevant to the Contract/Project numbers and Material Id)
On Sample Info Section, enter the below required information.
a.
Sample Level – (values presented will be based on category, Subcategory and Sample level per Mac Spec)
b.
Sampled By – TIN(A1123123213)
Comment: (activates if MAC Spec conveys that a Qualified Sampler is required, in this case TIN should be allowed)
c.
Date Sample taken – 10/14/2013
d.
Time sample taken – Removed for 346
e.
Producer – Preferred Materials, Prestige Concrete Products
Comment: (activates if MAC Spec conveys that a Producer number is required)

Comment Section - (this is used by the user to enter notes about the sample, the system log captures and displays the name/ID of the user that entered
the note & log captures and displays the date a note was added)

Click on ‘Save’ button.
9.
Verify the sample and make changes on Update Sample Info section if required.

If required, make changes on laboratory section by clicking on Remove Sample Lab Route.

If required, make changes on Location Information section by clicking on Update Location Info.

12.
Click on Submit Sample for Testing link.
13.
On ‘Submit Sample for Testing’ pop up window, click on Submit for Testing button.

Create New Sample Login from this Sample
1.
Click on Create New Sample Login from this Sample link.
2.
“Create New Sample Login from this Sample” window will open up. This screen will have all the values from the previous Sample.
3.
Make the required changes.
4.
Save and submit the sample.
