Path to Schoolwide Training
Path to Schoolwide trainings focus on schoolwide AVID strategies and methodologies. Implementation strands are
designed for those new to the AVID Elective who have not had an opportunity to attend an Implementation strand at
one of AVID’s Summer Institutes. Tutorology strands prepare AVID teachers, coordinators, and content area teachers
to train AVID tutors and implement effective tutorials. Path to Schoolwide trainings include two days of professional
learning and all materials. A continental breakfast and lunch will be served on each day of training.

* AVID Upper Elementary Educators (grades 4-6) may attend
this strand. AVID Elementary Educators must complete an
AVID Elementary Implementation strand before attending
CRT: Empowering Students.
* Please note: the content of this strand is not
developmentally appropriate for grades 4-5.

Parking:
Parking surrounding the training sites is very limited. We have secured spaces down the street at The
Redeeming Love Church at 2425 White Bear Avenue Maplewood, MN 55109 . The attached map
outlines the parking spaces available at The Redeeming Love Church (outlined in pink). There will be
shuttles transporting participants back and forth from the Church to North High in the morning
from 7:30 - 8:30 am and in the afternoon from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. It is 1.7 miles, or a 5 minute drive from
the Church to the High School. From North High School, participants can walk the short distance to their
respective training sites. To ensure there is enough parking for all participants, we encourage you to ride
share if at all possible.
Participants are highly encouraged to park at the Redeeming Love Church. Participants that park in a
restricted area will be towed. Please obey all street and parking signs.
