Department of Applied Chemistry & Polymer
Technology
The Department is an integral part of Delhi
Technological University since its inception in 1941
as Delhi Polytechnic and later Delhi College of
Engineering. It has contributed significantly to the
higher education and research in the area of
Applied Chemistry, Polymer Science & Chemical
Technology. The Department offers B. Tech
(Polymer Science & Chemical Technology), M. Tech
(Polymer Technology), and Ph. D programme in
Applied Chemistry and Polymer Science &
Chemical Technology. In addition, the department
offers a sound chemical science base for all
st
nd
Engineering disciplines in their 1 and 2 semester
in the form of Applied Chemistry and Engineering
Materials. The Department has already produced
more than 50 Doctrates, 350 Postgraduate and
450 Graduate students. The faculties of the
Department have published more than 350
research papers in the journals of national and
international repute. A large number of its alumni
