Parker High School Pink Night – “Hoopin’ for a Cure”
The Parker High School is going to host its 6th annual Pink Night, “Hoopin’ for a Cure,” at our home
basketball double header versus Viborg-Hurley on Friday, February 13th. We would like to keep making
this an annual fundraising event to bring awareness to breast cancer and raise money to donate to research.
In the past, this event has been a huge success! Through the years, “Hoopin’ for a Cure” has raised over
$23,000 through generous donations, raffles, and t-shirt sales. Thank you for your help in this effort!
Some of our team members and cheerleaders have been greatly affected by this disease. These
women are an inspiration to our team, and their families will be recognized at the event. We will also be
honoring the families of the Viborg-Hurley players that have been affected. We would like to join these two
communities together to support breast cancer awareness.
Below is a picture and order form of the DARK GRAY shirt with PINK lettering we will be selling
to fill the stands with gray and pink. Each short-sleeved shirt will cost $10 and each long-sleeved t-shirt will
be $15. $4 of each shirt ordered will be donated to the Edith Sanford Breast Health Institute. Any other
money we raise for the evening will be donated there as well. Please return your order form to the Parker
School offices (attn. Catherine Leber) or Catherine Leber or the Viborg-Hurley School Offices by January
20th please make check payable to “Pink Night.” If from out of town, please email Catherine your order and
then send checks/order forms to Catherine Leber (Pink Night) PO Box 517, Parker, SD 57053.
If you are interested in making a donation to the night, please contact Catherine Leber at
[email protected] or fill out the bottom of this sheet and return with a check made out to “Pink Night.” If
you do not want to order a shirt for the event, please still plan to attend the games and wear a pink or gray
shirt! Thanks!
