O God the King of glory,

Mum’s the Word
You are invited to join hundreds of mums for an
evening of encouragement, insight and
inspiration on 18th June at Christ Church Clifton
from 7.30pm to 10.00pm.
Diane Louise Jordan and Cathy Madavan are
brilliant speakers: warm, witty and thought
provoking. They will help us to reflect on the
challenges and joys of motherhood by giving
practical tips, sharing new ideas and using real

Spiritual Health Weekends
C in the Park – Sunday 21st June 2015
Nancy Goudie’s Spiritual Health
Weekends have been running since 1997
and are unique and creative conferences
for ladies from ages 12 – 100!
Each year at C in the Park we have been
able to thoroughly bless everyone with free
refreshments and this couldn’t be done
without the mountain of cakes that have
been generously provided by you all.
They are weekends of fun, friendship and
relaxation fused with exciting worship
and encounters with God.
The next Bristol event takes place on 2931st January 2016 and you are invited to
join with other ladies from Christ Church
who are attending. Book before 1st June
to receive a £5 discount.

CAP Nectar Card Request
Do you use a Nectar Card and if so would
you be prepared to use a Nectar Card to
benefit CAP here at Christ Church
Downend?
If everyone who uses a Nectar Card when
they shop would use the CAP card just
once a month, this would raise points
that could then be used to benefit CAP
clients.

We want to continue this blessing so I am
asking for donations of cake on the day,
whether brought or baked. Please bring the
cakes to the refreshment tent on the
morning of 21st June before the Worship at
11am and if they are in a tin that you
would like back, please clearly label it.
I will also need help serving refreshments
on the day and people to ‘mingle and chat’
in the seating area, including some table
wiping and disposing of empty plates and
cups so if you can spare an hour, please

Mothers' Union Enrolment Service is
taking place on Sunday 31st May at 3pm.
The service, including Holy Communion, is
being led by Jo Vickery.
Several women are being enrolled so
please come along, as everyone is
welcome.
Light Lunch
Women of Christ Church are invited to a
Light Lunch on Monday 29th June from
12.00 pm at 66c Cleeve Hill – (driveway
opposite tennis club). Toddlers are
welcome.
There is no parking so drop off if necessary
and park at Co-op.
