Dear Contestants and Parents,
The annual Miss Cornersville Pageant will be held on May 8, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cornerville
High School Theater. Applications are due on Friday, April 17, 2015. We will have a meeting on
that date to discuss details about the pageant. Your sponsor fee of $35 is due at this time; checks
should be made out to CHS.
Sponsors can be anyone or any business. The sponsor fees are used for pageant expenses.
Remaining funds as well as proceeds from admission will go to the Cornersville High School
Cheerleaders.
We will meet on Friday, April 24, to draw numbers, take photos for the paper, and to turn in your
container for the People’s Choice Awards. On this day, you will receive a packet of information
including your number, interview questions, dresser’s badge (one dresser per contestant), and one
free pass for a person of your choice. Each dresser will be required to present the badge to enter the
dressing area. No one will be admitted without a badge. The required rehearsal will be on May
7th, immediately after school. All contestants should bring the shoes they plan to wear in the
pageant to practice.
Each contestant will compete in the first and second rounds. The first round is the casual/sportswear
round. Clothing should be age appropriate and should cover back, belly, boobs, and booties. You
know what I mean. If you have a question about your outfit, you can email me a photo at
[email protected] for approval. You will be required to introduce yourself and your sponsor
during this round. You will not be scored for your introduction. However, your presentation could
influence the judges’ overall assessment of you. The second round is the formal wear competition.
Again, clothing should be age appropriate with nothing bare at the midriff and side slits should end at
an appropriate level. The top ten will be announced for another judging to narrow to the Top 5 (If
there are fewer than 12 contestants we will skip this step.) Finally, the Top 5 will compete in the final
interview phase of the contests.
The Jenna Martin People’s Choice Award is sponsored by CB&S Bank. Each contestant will
display a container representing her personality. Family, friends, and fans will contribute money to
the containers with the overall winner selected by the total amounts in the container after the Top 10
announcement. Contestants will also vote for Miss Congeniality after the Formal wear competition.
The word “Miss” represents a young lady, never married, with no plans to marry within the year. We
will not accept applications from anyone who has been pregnant. Miss Cornersville is a
representative of our school and should hold herself to the highest of standards. The crown bearer is
expected to have honor and grace while holding the title. The winner will be expected to represent
the school in the homecoming parade and homecoming ceremony. Any other parade is her
prerogative.

sponsored by the Varsity Cheerleaders. I understand her photo and name will appear in the local
newspaper and her photo and name MAY appear on Cornersville School’s social media sites. I
understand the judges for the pageant are contracted by a third party and are in no way related to
anyone at CHS. Should my daughter win, I understand I will be required to arrange a convertible for
the Homecoming parade at CHS as well as for any other parades in which I chose to participate.
While holding the title of Pageant Winner, I will encourage my daughter to be a good representative of
Cornersville Elementary and Cornersville High Schools by having good behavior, attendance and
high academic standards.
I am including a sponsor’s check made out to CHS. (If you have multiple contestants in your family
you can make out one check and you will receive one receipt in the oldest child’s packet.)
