BENEFITS
•Recommended to be mixed with soybean meal, wheat flour, other locally available feed ingredients and vitamin and mineral
premixes (and binder, if needed) to make nutritionally complete 25-45% protein feeds
•Provides a flexible, convenient and cost-effective alternative to complete shrimp feeds to fit producers’ needs
•Can be mixed with 44% or higher protein soybean meal and other feed ingredients, premixes additives such as pigments,
immunostimulants, organic acids, essential oils, and organic minerals
•Allows for phase feeding—inclusive level can be reduced with advancing shrimp weight and maturity
•Clear substantial flexibility in use of local, acceptable feedstuffs
•Allows full use of present mixing and processing equipment
•Provides an economical, alternative way of feeding shrimp
•Provides an alternative, affordable, consistent high quality protein source for shrimp
•Uses the highest quality ingredients to help meet nutrient needs of shrimp
•Ingredients are selected for quality and digestibility to ensure nutrients are optimized for growth while being water stable
•Helps relieve pressure on a limited resource such as fishmeal as a protein source. A lower cost, more sustainable
alternative to fishmeal
•Helps reduce feed costs at a time when minimizing production costs is urgent
•Helps complement and enhance the quality of other ration protein sources (e.g., soybean meal)
• No anti-nutritional factors; no complex carbohydrates
•Contains lecithin, attractants, fish oil, leaching resistant-amino acids.
•All materials and final formulation are monitored for freshness and appropriate quality parameters
•Includes ingredients thoroughly tested for biological availability, palatability, and economic value
•Reduces risk of lower performance caused by ingredient nutrient variability
• Incorporates lecithin and fish oil
•Eliminates capital, storage bins, and labor required for individual ingredient sourcing
•Reduces ingredient inventory minimizes and reduces labor requirements for their use.
•Combination of non-vegetable protein sources to help achieve ideal amino acid levels
• Consistent nutrient content
•Flexible ingredient formulation with consistent protein level and constant nutrient content
• Nutrient bioavailability is not compromised
FLEXIBLE,
VERSATILE
APPLICATIONS
•Meets a wide range of site-specific needs at a competitive price
•Helps meet a broad range of nutrition needs, performance expectations and economic considerations
•Recommended inclusion levels allow tailoring of different final ration protein levels and nutritional composition
• Can make final rations varying from 25% to 45% protein
•Optimizes cost-effective performance under different culture needs and conditions, management situations and changing
market conditions
•Un-medicated to allow local, responsible use of any needed drugs as prescribed by a local veterinarian
•Offers a viable alternative to complete feeds when making business-based feed decisions..
•An alternative option when labor and processing equipment are available
• Capitalizes on locally available feedstuffs
•Flexibility regarding additional ration ingredients and ration modifications
• Lowers freight and warehousing expenses
•Easy and convenient to mix with other final ration ingredients.
• High confidence of a uniformly nutritious ingredient
• Assurance of a consistent more predictable product
•Textured, non-hygroscopic, anti-static form minimizes excess dust and clumping while maintaining flowability
•Protects against over-enrichment of water with nitrogen and reduces environmental concerns
• Short-time, high temperature treatment adds security for professionals concerned with ingredient hygiene
• Addresses bio-security concerns of today’s production needs
USE OF
COMPLEX
INGREDIENTS
•Includes ingredients thoroughly tested for biological availability, palatability, and economic value
•Contains specialty ingredients not normally inventoried at manufacturing sites (e.g., lecithin, , cholesterol, attractants)
• Lowers freight, inventory, and warehousing expenses
•Results in greater confidence of making a nutritionally balanced and complete feed
• Maximizes response to performance challenges
FORMULATED
ON THE
FUNDAMENTAL
“IDEAL PROTEIN”
(IP) CONCEPT
•There is an optimal dietary essential amino acid (EAA) pattern/ratio that closely corresponds to shrimp’s needs
•A final mixed ration uses a combination of intact proteins and crystalline amino acids to satisfy EAA requirements without
wasteful and costly excesses or performance-harming deficiencies
•More precise alignment of EAA supplied with EAA requirements
• Improves shrimp’s nitrogen utilization
•More environmentally friendly; less potentially troublesome excess nitrogen frequently associated with water quality concerns.
•Maintains (or enhances) shrimp performance at a lower cost.
FEATURES

ADDED LECITHIN
BENEFITS
•Provides superior value with the assurance of nutritional consistency and affordable performance
• Greater potential return on feed ingredient investment
•Provides fats, phospholipids, long chain fatty acids phospholipids and sterols
•Provides concentrated and highly digestible sources of energy essential for normal function and growth
•Provides highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) and phospholipids
•Vital, given that shrimp have limited ability to synthesize HUFA
•A source of essential fatty acids (linoleic, linolenic, EPA, and DHA)
• Source of optimal ratio of n-3 to n-6 fatty acids
•Enhances palatability ensuring early consumption and maximum intake
•Provides a complex mixture of low molecular weight attractant compounds that relieves pressure on marine proteins
traditionally used as attractants.
•Provides essential phospholipids
• Enhances absorption of dietary cholesterol
•Incorporated for convenience
•Fluid form is difficult to store, handle, and add at some mill sites
SOURCE OF
CHOLESTEROL
•Meets an absolute requirement for cholesterol, which shrimp are unable to synthesize
• Precursor of steroid hormones
SOURCE OF
NUCLEOTIDES
•Central ingredients provide basic building blocks of nucleic acids
• Plays a key role in cell division, cell growth, and modulation of the immune system
• Are needed to respond to immunological challenges
• Are especially critical for rapidly growing shrimp

INGREDIENT STORAGE AND USE
TABLE 2 Typical
Ingredient quality can deteriorate rapidly if not properly
stored. Losses can occur if rodent and insect infestations
are not well controlled. Enhance ingredient shelf-life by
avoiding prolonged storage, particularly under adverse
heat, humidity, and direct sunlight conditions. Product best
used within 6 months of purchase.
