Senator Mary White’s open Invitation to a Free Public Meeting
on
BURGLARIES AND CRIME
Awareness and Prevention
Tuesday May 26th @ 7.30pm
Taney Parish Centre
The situation in An Garda Síochána is critical. The statistics for all
crime categories in Dublin are going the wrong way from gangland
criminality to orchestrated burglaries on people’s homes in our area.
This is no fault of our local Garda Síochána. Paul Williams, Ireland’s
most respected crime writer will speak at this meeting. He has
first-hand knowledge of the devastating impact of crime on
communities and the difficulties in dealing with the judicial system.
Martin Donnellan, formerAssistant Commissioner of An Garda
Síochána will also speak . His mantra is “Effective policing is the
+
answer. The best form of crime prevention is Gardaí on the beat”

Hillview Community Resource Centre wish to thank the parishioners
for their generous outdoor collection of €667 which took place
last weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to the children from the Senior School who celebrated
their Confirmation on Thursday 21st May. The rite of confirmation
states that by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more
perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength
of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, obliged to
spread and defend the faith by word and deed.
