INVITATION
Nordic Championship for Scholastic Chess Teams,
September 11th to 13th 2015 in Frederiksberg, Denmark.
Dansk Skoleskak / Danish Scholastic Chess Federation (DSCF) invites you to the Nordic
Championship for Scholastic Chess Teams 2015 in Frederiksberg. Frederiksberg is a green oasis
situated in the middle of Copenhagen, with metro connection directly from the airport. This
allows you to arrive Friday before the first round and leave Sunday evening (or Monday
morning) after the prize ceremony.
Teams
The teams are scholastic chess teams with four players + one reserve from the same school.
There are two groups:
Group A (ungdomskolehold) – players from 0-10 grade (max 17 years)
Group B (barneskolehold) – players from 0-6 grade (max 13 years)
The teams are qualified through the national federations/scholastic chess organization in
Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Denmark.
Time
The championship will be held on Friday the 11th until Sunday the 13th of September 2015.
Place
The venue is Skolen ved Søerne, Niels Ebbesens Vej 10, Frederiksberg.
Accommodation is at the nearby hotel Cabinn Scandinavia, Vodroffsvej 55.
The distance between the venue and the hotel is 450 m.
Tournament / Live coverage
Both groups will play five rounds – all teams will play against each other. The time control is 90
min. per game with additional 30 seconds per move starting from the first move.
Tuborgfondet have supported DSCF with live-chessboard, so we expect coverage of all games.
Side-events

There will be a trip to a local attraction Saturday.

Live-transmission of the games.

Saturday evening there will be a meeting between the Nordic leaders.

Accommodation / catering
DSCF covers four players + one reserve + one team leader from each team.
Parents, coaches etc. can take advantage of the following options of
accommodation and catering (prices are per person):




Single room + full catering (Friday night – Sunday evening): 1.700 DKK.
Single room + full catering (Friday night – Monday morning): 2.300 DKK.
Double room + full catering (Friday night – Sunday evening): 1.500 DKK.
Double room + full catering (Friday night – Monday morning): 2.100 DKK.
DCSF have a limit number of rooms, so please book ASAP – or we might not be able to get a
room for everyone at the same hotel. Use the entry bellow.
Transportation
Plane or train is available to Kastrup/Copenhagen, where you can take the metro to Forum
Station, located 350 m. from the venue.
