A Yen for Yoga
Yoga is a popular workout that increases flexibility and strength while calming the mind and relaxing the body. The Gym
offers nearly a dozen Yoga classes per week, including Intro to Yoga, Yoga, Yogalates (yoga + Pilates), Back to Basics Yoga,
Yoga Express and Beach Yoga. Ask at the Gym Desk about which class is best suited for your interests.
MELT Method Fitness
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the introductory MELT Method
Fitness classes in September, the Gym is adding it to the schedule in October.
Participants, using specialized equipment such as soft body rollers and small
balls are placed through a series of easy, precise techniques, each designed to
strengthen the core, increase flexibility and improve overall well-being. Each
class is limited to sixteen participants. The 70-minute class, priced at $25 per
person, is featured every Wednesday at noon. Please register at the Gym Front
Desk or call 273-9600.
38th Annual GATE River Run
Planning is already underway for the 2015 GATE River Run scheduled
for Saturday, March 14. Start recruiting your fellow Club members to
join the fun and run with you. This year, we’re introducing a “Name
our Team!” contest. Each GATE Club will select their own Team name
for everyone running the GATE. Submit your most creative Team
name to the Gym Front Desk prior to December 1. The winner will
receive dinner for two at the Club. And look for coming information
on a “Run Club” to assist those in training.
Kids Yoga Workshop
The Gym is conducting another Kids’ Yoga Class
on Wednesday, October 8 at 4 p.m. It’s here that
children (ages 5–12) will learn about stretching,
meditation and simple yoga poses. This 45-minute
class is complimentary. Registration is not necessary.

With Much Appreciation
The Lodge & Club extends a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the many partners who contributed to the success of the
25th Anniversary “Silver Scallop” Party. Their participation and cooperation made this truly one of the season’s
premier events. Allow us to acknowledge the following friends of The Lodge & Club:
