Downtown Akron Partnership’s
inaugural Akron Art Prize is moving to
Phase 2 of the competition, starting at
5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Up to 10
finalist selected by public vote, using
SMS (text to vote) technology, will vie
for top honors at Akron’s first Akron
Art Prize. In addition to claiming
this honor, the winner will receive
a $5,000 prize and five runners up
will each receive a $1,000 prize,
sponsored by the Margaret Clark
Morgan Foundation.
Downtown Akron Support
the finale on Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. at the
Trolley Barn at 47 N. Main St., which
is accessible from the Northside and
High Street arts pockets.
