The most famous nature attraction in the municipality of Lempäälä is the Birgitta Trail, a circular
trekking route amongst the beautiful lake and forest landscapes. The trail opened 15 years ago and
it consists of 50 km of marked trekking routes.
The Birgitta Trail was named the best trekking
route in Finland in 2006.

Fair has been the biggest summer event in
Lempäälä for many years. The new Tango King
and Queen are crowned a week before the fair
begins. It is tradition that either the king or the
queen sings at the fair.
In 2012 the Kuokkalankoski Fair will be held
on Saturday 21 July.

Mama´s Classics
– A car rally for the whole family
in May.
Mama's Classics is an annual car rally event for
the whole family. It brings together classic car
enthusiasts from all over Finland.
The event includes photographic tasks and
precision driving tasks. The route is published
on the day of the event and the majority of it is
in the Pirkanmaa region. The route is chosen to
represent objects and places that have a high
historical value or offer attractive scenery. The
best car of the rally and the combination of
the best car and the best outfit are awarded a
trophy.

The Ideapark Run
in May
The Ideapark Run is organised every year and
is a sports event for the whole family, for all
ages.
The distances are half marathon, 10 km and
children's runs. Everyone is able to take part as
you can either walk, Nordic walk, jog or run.

Sounds of Lempäälä
in the summertime
The Sounds of Lempäälä event has become a
summer tradition in Lempäälä. The programme
includes master classes in violin, piano and
singing, and a concert series with over 20
concerts.
The Fortum event is organised at the beginning of June. It includes seminars, lectures,
contests and concerts.
The event is supported by the Minister of the
Employment and the Economy, Mauri Pekkarinen. It is organised by the municipality of Lempäälä, the parish of Lempäälä and the cultural
association Lempäälän Kulttuuritapahtumat ry.
