This is the only foreign made surface mounted overhead door closer
series which complies with ANSI Grade One Level (has been successfully
cycle tested for 1,500,000 door openings). This deluxe series has all the
architectural required constructional features needed for any exterior or
interior commercial steel, aluminum or wood doors.

The only imported surface mounted overhead
door closer door series with hardened steel precision needle shaft bearings that permits this door
closer to guarantee 1,500,000 door openings
(equals ANSI Grade One cycle testing level).
Full Feature Closer: These series of closers offer the full variety of features which allow adjustment to
meet the varied conditions of almost any door installation. They are non-handed, with individual
adjustable sweep speed and latch speed controls. They also have adjustable spring power and
adjustable backcheck cushioning. Where it is desired, adjustable delayed action closing is available in
place of the adjustable backcheck feature. Meets Handicap Code - Barrier Free Applications.
FEATURES
• Multi-Size Power: The closer
spring assembly can be adjusted
through a wide power range. A high
shoulder adjustment nut accepts a
standard ⁹⁄₁₆" socket or wrench.
• Tri-Style Installation: Standard
closers packaged for regular arm,
top jamb or parallel arm installation.
• Non-Handed: Pinion shaft
extends vertically through the closer
body in both directions. This permits
the closer to be positioned on either
right or left hand doors for all applications.
• Aluminum Alloy Shell: Closer
bodies are constructed of a special
aluminum alloy, carefully selected to
accommodate individual closer characteristics and operating conditions.

• Rack & Pinion Operation:
Provides a smooth transmission of
power for control of the door through
its full opening and closing cycle.
• Adjustable Sweep Speed: An
independent regulating valve, hexkey-operated, permits adjustment of
the general closing speed.
• Adjustable Latch Speed: An
independent regulating valve, hexkey-operated, permits adjustment of
the door’s speed for approximately
the last 5° of the closing cycle.
• Adjustable Backcheck
Cushioning: An independent regulating valve, hex-key operated provides an adjustable hydraulic cushion to the door opening speed
toward the end of the opening cycle.
• Non-Critical Valves: All control
valves for sweep speed/latch speed
and backcheck cushioning are noncritical and are adjusted by a standard ¹⁄₈" hex-key.
•Plastic Full Cover: This cover is
non-handed. Optional Slimline
Plastic Cover.
• Non-Hold-Open Arm: Standard
closer will be supplied with a
non-hold-open arm. This arm is
non-handed. Optional hold-open
arm available with 90-180° HO.
• Adjustable-Power Shoe:
Supplied as standard for a 15°
(=7-¹⁄₂) power adjustment by relocating the forearm at the shoe, for all
regular arm and top jamb non-holdopen closers only.
• Adjustable Delayed Action
Closing: An optional hydraulic feature available in place of backcheck
cushioning that adds a third speed
range to the closing control cycle.
This feature becomes effective
when the door is opened and
released at any point beyond 70°.
This delayed closing enables traffic
to clear the opening before the normal closing cycle starts. This feature
is advantageous to the handicapped
and elderly. It is also valuable for
wheeled or other traffic where
delayed closing is desirable.

the piston. with the new construction the pinion engages
the piston via gears in the center of the piston.

in a 2" projection instead of 2³⁄₄"

Top Door Rail
“A” Type End Loading Arm
Make a 1" deep cut-out in hinge of door as
shown.
Drill or drill and tap holes in top of door as shown.
Position arm in door by placing arm pin in 3¹⁄₁₆"
hole and install arm using three ¹⁄₄-20 x ⁵⁄₈" pan
head machine screws and lock washers. Center
arm in the top rail by adjusting the two ¹⁄₄-20 x 1"
hex head centering screws.
NOTE: After door is installed, the two ¹⁄₄-20 x 1"
socket head clamp bar cap screws with lock
washers must be tightened securely.
BOTTOM DOOR RAIL
End Loading
Make cut in hinge edge of door equal to depth of
bottom rail as shown.
Drill and tap ¹⁄₄-20 holes in bottom rail of door as
shown. Install pivot bearing retainer in bottom of
door using two ¹⁄₄-20 x ⁵⁄₈" pan head machine screws
and lock washers.
Laterally adjust center of pivot bearing retainer 2⁵⁄₈"
(or 2¹⁄₁₆") from hinge edge of door (not including
weather stripping) and tighten screws securely.
NOTE: For doors with 1" bottom rail depth, pivot
bearing stud must be shortened by sawing off at
score ¹⁄₂" from bottom.
TOP DOOR RAIL
“K” Type End Loading Arm
Make a ⁵⁄₈" deep cut-out in hinge edge of door as
shown.
Drill or drill and tap holes in top of door as shown.
Position arm in door by placing arm pin in ¹⁄₄" hole.
Install arm by using two ¹⁄₄-20 x ⁵⁄₈" pan head
machine screws and lock washers.
Center arm in the top rail by adjusting the two ¹⁄₄ x
20 x 1" hex head centering bolts.

The 32 Series Overhead Concealed Door Closer is capable to work doors weighing
up to a maximum of 375 lbs. The closer can handle exterior doors up to
a maximum 3'6" wide and interior doors up to 4' wide.

SIDE LOADING
TOP DOOR RAIL
“S” Type Side Loading Arm
Drill or drill and tap holes in top of door as shown. Make a 2¹⁄₄" x
¹⁄₂" cut-out in top of door as shown. Cut-out must be on the inside
of the door.
Install arm using ¹⁄₄-20 x 1¹⁄₄" flat head machine screw and ⁷⁄₈"
washer. Install ¹⁄₂-13 x ³⁄₄" arm stud and ¹⁄₄-20 x 1¹⁄₈" dome head
arm adjustment screw. Laterally adjust center of arm spindle
retainer 2⁵⁄₈" from hinge edge of door (not including weather
stripping). Center arm in the top rail by adjusting the two
¹⁄₄-20 x 1" hex head centering bolts.
After installation of door, attach dress plate with self-threading
screws.
NOTE: Before attaching dress plate, make certain the three
¹⁄₄-20 x ⁷⁄₈" socket head clamp bar screws with lock washers
are tightened securely.
THRESHOLD MOUNT PIVOT
Drill hole in threshold as shown. Install threshold
adapter nut from top and secure with ³⁄₄-16 hex
jamb nut underneath. Install pivot stud and bearing with ¹⁄₂-20 hex lock nut as shown and adjust
bearing height for proper door clearance and
firmly tighten lock nut.
BOTTOM DOOR RAIL
Side Loading
Drill and tap ¹⁄₄-20 holes in bottom rail of door as
shown. Install pivot bearing retainer in bottom of
door using two ¹⁄₄-20 x ⁵⁄₈" pan head machine
screws and lock washers.
Laterally adjust center of pivot bearing retainer
2⁵⁄₈" from hinge edge of door
(not including weather stripping)
and tighten screws securely.
FLOOR MOUNT PIVOT
Center pivot base against door jamb on hinge side. Mark and drill
¹⁄₄" holes 1¹⁄₂" deep in floor for plastic expansion plugs.
Mount base using #12 x 1¹⁄₄" plastic expansion plugs and #12 x 1¹⁄₄" flat head wood screws.
Install pivot stud and bearing with ¹⁄₂-20 hex lock nut as shown, and
adjust bearing height for proper door clearance and firmly tighten
lock nut.
When using threshold drill ¹⁄₄" hole for clearance of pivot base on
center line 2³⁄₄" from hinge end of threshold.
NOTE: when threshold is not used, pivot bearing stud must
be shortened by sawing off at score ¹⁄₂" from bottom.
Dual Closing Speeds: Sweep & latch closing speed are controlled by two non-critical adjustment valves.
Sweep area from 105° to 20°; latching area from 20° to 0°. BACKCHECK: A mechanical backcheck
slows down the door prior to contact with positive stop.

Overhead Door Closer offers the perfect solution for those who prefer the modern unencumbered look and operational advantages of a concealed overhead door closer.
The 32 Series is designed to give lasting,
dependable service where surface applied units
and other types of closers are not suitable, or
would interfere with the modern architectural
design. It can be easily installed for USC with
either single or double acting doors. It is the ultimate closer for use with aluminum trimline doors
and frames.
The 32 Series overhead-concealed door closer is ideal for
both interior and exterior applications, providing efficient
door control without disturbing architectural designs. It
handles center hung single or double acting doors, or
independently hung single acting doors. This closer is an
excellent alternative when floor closers are not practical
yet concealed closers are desired.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
• Compact closer body is designed to fit into headers as small
as 1³⁄₄" X 4".
• Closer body is non-handed.
• One closer for both single acting or double acting doors.
• Accommodates a maximum door weight of 250 lbs.
• A pressure relief valve protects closer from damage caused
by forced closing.
• An integral positive stop limits door swing to 90° or 105°.
• A mechanical backcheck slows down the door prior to contact
with the positive stop.
• Closing speeds are controlled by two non-critical adjustment
valves. Sweep is from 105° to 20°. Latch is from 20° to 0°.
• Thermostatic valves insure constant closing speeds under
varying temperatures.
• The standard 32 Series is furnished without hold open.
Optional single point mechanical hold open is available at 90°
or 105°.
• The 32 Series offers a cast-iron body along with heavy-duty
ball bearings at the spindle.
• Steel cam and roller assembly is coupled to dual steel pistons.
• Mounting brackets are available to install closer to aluminum
or wood headers.
• Steel header mounting channel is specifically designed to
install the 32 Series closer into open-throat steel header
sections. Normally the mounting channel is installed in the
header prior to shipment to the job site.
• Special spindle available.
• The 32 Series is manufactured to conform with the
requirements of ANSI A 156.4.
• The 32 Series closer will retrofit all other brands of concealed
overhead door closers with same basic measurements.

Jackson No. 101 and same closer made by same Taiwan Door Closer Mfg. who

Overhead Concealed Closer is a certified
ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 Closer. The closer
is manufactured in the U.S.A. under
strict ISO 9001 guidelines and is
designed to give the ultimate durability
and maintenance free service. This closer is truly universal. One basic closer
mechanism allows for single or double
acting, center-hung or offset applications
and is non-handed. Suitable for both
interior and exterior installations, it
provides complete door control in a compact and concealed design suitable for aluminum, glass, wood and
hollow metal doors. Available in 4 fixed spring sizes with an optional adjustable hydraulic backcheck that will
