Rx VERIFICATION INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: When you receive your
order, the prescription specified
will have been modified to compensate for the wrap angle of the frame. This ensures
that the lenses effectively deliver the specified Rx when the eyewear is in the “as worn”
position. Every
prescription you receive will have an Rx Verification
Information form and Mask to use for the final inspection of the order.
lenses are produced using a lens that has a multiple-curve front surface
(atoric). In order to deliver the correct prescription in wrap-around frames, the back
surface grinding curves are “compensated” for both the atoric front surface and the
angle in which the eye moves across the lens surface while viewing objects.
The result is the Rx received differs from the “prescribed” Rx. When following the
checking procedures and verifying the Rx through the checking circle, the Rx will
read the “compensated” power, but delivers the prescribed Rx when looking through
the lens. This lens and grinding procedure assures perfect, sharp, clear vision from
edge to edge in wrapped frames.
TO VERIFY THE Rx:
1. Place the Verification Mask on the lenses, aligning the
logos on the mask with
the
logos on the lens.
2. Use your lensometer to read the lens power at the checking point of the lens.
3. M
easure PD by placing a ruler behind the Verification Mask, reading the distance
between the PD lines on the right and left masks.
PLEASE NOTE: *All prescriptions should be
ordered using the patient’s monocular pupillary
distance (PD). Minimum segment height for
progressive lenses is 20mm.
*While the
Rx program provides
a u thentic color and performance matches
in the complete range of Bollé performance
tints, in certain prescriptions and Rx configurations, the exact color may not always be
achieved. Please be advised that minor color
differences could occur.

Carl Zeiss Vision ® is an industry leader in Rx lens development, and
has partnered with Bollé to offer you the widest possible range of lens
options for 6-and 8-base prescriptions in single vision +3.00 to -6.00
and +3.00 to -3.00 for progressive. With
Rx, lenses can be
fitted precisely to wrap-around frames. And with our special edging
technology, we’re able to use CAD controlled edging that has never
before been available in the industry.
The result is a much wider field of clear vision, dramatically reduced
eye fatigue and assurance that thinner lens edges hold more securely
in even the most radical wraps. This proprietary manufacturing process
cannot be duplicated in any other facility, and the Bollé “
” logo on
the wearer’s left lens guarantees that authenticity. New to the
program, Transitions ® lenses are available in both gray and brown.
Transitions lenses are photochromic lenses that change from clear to gray
or brown in the presence of UV light. These polycarbonate lenses block

Fitting standard 8-base prescription lenses to a wrap-around frame causes prism and
prescription errors due to the angle of the frame, often resulting in headaches and
a feeling of discomfort. Only
wrap lenses are made using proprietary

of frame wrap and patient pupillary distance (PD). The result is the first prescription
wrap lens to provide clear, comfortable vision for every prescription, regardless

coating warranty
Factory hard coating and mirrors are warranted within 12 months. There is NO
warranty for scratches on mirrored lenses. The replacement lenses must be of
the same prescription and material as the original.
progressive lens warranty
In the event a patient cannot adjust to their progressive lenses within 90 days we
will credit the original Rx in full, provided that a pair of single vision lenses or a
pair of progressive lenses with a different lens design are ordered in its place.
These lenses must be of the same prescription and frame shape as the original
progressive lens order.
doctor re-do
Lenses will be re-made at a 50% discount if the original Rx was made within the
prior 30 days.
rx changes / cancelled jobs
If the lenses are not in process, Rx changes will be accepted at no charge.
Cancelled jobs and duplicate jobs will be billed at 50%.
