How to Use the Ext In on the Bass Station II
How to Use the Ext In on the Bass Station II The internal FX on the Bass Station 2 are great to use with an external Input Source, such as Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, or even Vocals. This guide will show how to set up a Hands-‐Free use of them. 1. Connect your External Input Source to the EXT IN port on the back of the Bass Station II 2. Switch to one of the INIT Patches on the Bass Station II, as they won’t have any settings saved on it, which may make things easier. NOTE: Patch #88 is used in this example, but any patch can be used to do this. 3. In the Mixer Section, Switch to Noise, and turn the OSC 1, OSC 2, Sub OSC and Volume (unlabeled) knobs all the way down to 0 NOTE: You may have to turn the knobs UP before you turn them down if they are already in the 0 position 4. Repeat the steps for the Ring Setting 5. Switch to EXT, and turn the OSC 1, OSC 2 and Sub OSC Knobs all the way down to 0, and the Volume all the way up. 6. Turn the Latch Button on in the Arpeggiator Section 7. Play a key on the Bass Station 2, and when you let it go, it will still be playing because of the Latch. That will activate the Oscillators and allow you to play your instrument and manipulate the Filters and Envelopes without having to manually hold down the Keys.
