namedSarah(afterSarahVaughnforhelovelyvocal-likequality).Johnisalsoanaccomplishedguitaristand
utilizesanarrayofacousticandelectricguitarsandbasseswithalooprecordertobuildlivetracksforhis
songsandimprovisations.
Hailedbymanyasoneoftheworldsleadingsolobassists,MichaelManringhasbeenpushingtheboundaries
ofwhatispossibleonthebassguitarforthreedecades.Buildingontheconceptsofhisteacher,thelatebass
legendJacoPastorius,Michaelhasdevelopedanewapproachtotheinstrumentthatincludesunorthodox
tunings,techniques,andmethodologies.Hehashonedhisskillsonhundredsofrecordingsasasession
musicianandthousandsofconcertsthroughouttheworldinvenuesincludingCarnegieHallinNYC,Yamaha
HallinTokyo,andDaviesSymphonyHallinSanFrancisco.Michaelhasworkedwithasurprisinglydiverse
collectionofmusiciansincludingMichaelHedges,SuzanneCiani,HenryKaiser,JohnGorka,TimAlexander
(Primus),PattyLarkin,andThomasDolby.
